Perhaps you meant you couldn't care less. Stating you could care less means there is room for more apathy.

Anyway, you are correct in your right to your opinions. I apologize. However, I would sacrifice millions of animals if it would save one human. I just could never place animals above people.

Thanks for correcting my grammar.  More people should do that on these message boards, it's the reason they are here, right?

I actually place animals and people on an equal playing field.  I get confused on why humans have this idea that they are the superior life form and have the right to harm others and are better than others.  It's so odd to me.

Thanks Livewire.  Yea, I am totally rationale.  I don't tell others what to do, don't try to stop others from eating meat.  I just say "to each their own."  I don't push my views on others, but I very obviously have strong opinions, LOL.  I am for sure not one of those red paint throwing PETA people

No, I'm sure that would ruin your mink stole and your silver fox cape! Isn't that what one wears on all those cruises and to all those resorts?  :D

HAHA, nope no furs or leather for this girl!  ;).  LOL.  I think those items might be kinda warm for the weather on most cruises??

Have kids. That will change your opinion overnight.

I don't think so.  I actually feel very, very strongly about this, but if I have kids and change my mind, I will own up to that.  :).

Very true Mom.  :)

I was fervent about animal rights, animal welfare, protection, and conservation. The whole time I was pregnant with my first child, my older sisters told me I'd change the way I felt about animals when I became a mother. I passionately argued with them that there was no way I could possibly feel any differently about my "fur babies"... they were my companions and surrogate children.

Guess what? My sisters were right.

yea, well I think that people can be passionate about animals AND children/humans at the same time.  no reason why you can't love your kids and animals, all rolled into one!  :).

I don't support animal cruelty or "Trophy Hunting" where the rack is taken and the meat is left to rot.

However - if it came to killing an animal to find a cure - have at it. Didn't Salk use a horse to test his polio vaccine? Some people would say that was a heinous crime, most believe he is a hero.

So where will all the hunting widows be hanging out??

Reminds me of an old joke, but it probably belongs in the "sex" thread.

Oh, c'mon Ell, I won't turn you in for posting a dirty joke in the wrong thread!

We like jokes!  Especially sex jokes! ;D

When I was a little boy, my mother spoke of a prophecy, of a time when all the world would be covered in darkness and the fate of all of mankind would be decided. One night I finally got the courage to ask my mother why God had changed, why He was so angry with His children. “I don’t know,” she said as she tucked the covers around me. “I guess He just got tired of all the bullshlt.”
