Rachel Maddow takes a look at the two presidential campaigns, and discusses how the erosion of union rights in states affects structural support for Democrats.

Rachel Maddow reports on a new online resource that is the result of an FCC requirement to disclose political ad spending so that now Americans can look up who's running political ads, if not (yet) the money behind them.

Well, it was a no brainer for obama to bail out the UAW.  He didn't bail out Chrylser or GM, he bailed out the UAW.  The UAW is his major supplier of campaign funds along with other unions.  Without unions the democrats are dead.

Absolutely RIGHT!

Obama stole from Grandma's bond fund, and gave to the UAW, and then said he saved more jobs then exist in GM and Chrysler and the Suppliers combined.

The UAW got an awesome return on investment for the support they gave Obama, and the rest of us got....

Do you know the percentage of the population that are in unions?  It's lower than you think.  Therefore it only makes sense without unions the Democratic party would still be very strong.

And for the record, Obama didn't bail out the unions, he bailed out the auto industry.  Those are the facts no matter how you conservatives try to spin it.

This tidbit could go elsewhere but seems relevant considering it includes Maddow.

Least Informed Audience: Fox News (Pew Survey)

"The inevitable dominance of online media is quickly becoming a reality, a new Pew survey showed on Thursday. The organization's biennal study of American news consumption was as stark a piece of evidence of the decline of newspapers as media-watchers are likely to find. Pew reported that more people now consume their news online than through newspapers or radio...Pew pointed out that the TV audience is aging, with the percentage of 18-to-29-year-olds watching tumbling 15 points in the last six years. The study also showed that CNN's audience has dropped substantially in the last four years; that Rachel Maddow's audience was the most-informed out of all of the audiences quizzed on current events; and that Fox News had the least-informed cable news audience in the country."

What % of GM and Chrysler went to:

1.  The UAW
2.  The U.S. Government
3.  Bond and Equity shareholders

It was a UNION bailout and redistribution of wealth - no matter WHAT you read on Media Matters.

Behold the hypocrisy of the righties waging class-warfare against the middle-class.

They're a bit myopic and cannot understand normal thinking.

But that's typical of those parrots.

A bit quiet from Forsythia on those bailout figures...

And it's not the percentage of the population that gives unions their power, it's their $$.. obviously.

While the righties would like to portray Unions as the big bad wolf...the facts say otherwise.

Please enlighten me on the class warfare of my question.

Is a retired Delphi administrative assistant in a different class than a retired Delphi line worker?

You are right - I DO think OBAMA did class warfare when he stole from the bond holders to pay off his union supporters.

For ONCE you got something right.

Obama stole from Grandma's retirement bond fund (safe investment, right?) and gave to his union cronies.  That isn't right.
