Ok how's this for a big 10 super conference?  Add Kansas, Nebraska, Mizzou, Pitt, and ND......now that's some good smash mouth football.

As a Michigan fan I hate to point this out, but which team has won more games in the past 3 seasons? I wouldn't be calling anyone a loser, bud.

I am happy that the big conferences are trying to take control back from the upstarts.

The Big Ten has often been criticized for being slow and stuck in the past, but the conference does actually have an impressive academic component that allows the member universities to share resources and maintain academic integrity.

And the Big Ten has always made good, solid long-term decisions.  It's the Midwestern ethic.  And I think that the Nebraska move is good.  It is a sure and steady move in the chess match.  There might be more moves, but I like the fact that they move the pawn before going after the king.

The danger with the smaller colleges that pop up is that they build a football stadium, ignore academic standards, rule the football world for a few years and flame out without much to show for the time involved.

The Big Ten has done a good job of using football to build the alumni base, sell the university experience and build an academic component to what in other conferences is simply a sports league.

kid don't take just a couple of seasons the spartans have not  been in  a rose bowl since 1987 or 1988 January first, and just because they beat Michigan back to back for the first time in 40  did you hear that 40 years and have won more games in the last two years means nothing. NOW if they do this for 2 to 3 more years and WIN AN BCS game   OK ill give it to them  BUT FOR NOW THIER STILL LOSERS,

another thing id like to get off my chest while I'm on this subject  MSU fans why all of a sudden did you start wearing your MSU  outfits and gear  back when Michigan was kicking your butt all around  I NEVER saw you guys and gals wearing ANY OF IT  I wear my MICHIGAN GEAR proudly NO MATTER what  the teams do   funny how hypocritical you are

at least ill give it to notre lame and Ohio B rate fans they ALWAYS wear their gear

Michigan fan here, but to not think the MSU football program is improving would be crazy. As far as the "gear" I think you can pretty much attribute that to the success the school has had on the basketball court. Oh how I remember the days when Michigan actually had a basketball program.

Wolverine, I didn't become a state fan until I started working in A2 and I always have my Spartan gear on.  Face it, Michigan football is on its way down and state football is on its way up.  You won't be able to beat us in basketball in the next 10 years and you won't be able to beat us in football for the next 10 years.  I see the rich rod sanctions getting bigger.  That's what you get for hiring a snake.

nebraska is good for the big ten!

this is strange....but i do have to agree with the kid for once. maybe they wont win it all...but the wolverines will be close!

whats the name of that luckeye qb again?

give richrod a break people!!

denard!! lets hope he stays healthy!! best way to stay away from bone jarring tackles is to just run faster!!  ;D

as far as the defense...yes it does need alot of work...most of the players are young but very teachable and should get better every week barring alot of injuries.

Ain't he a hoot to watch, Nosh!  Even when the stack 8 on the line and knowing he is going to run, the kid can still run for decent yardage.

I fear for his health once Big10 conference play begins though.  Hope I'm wrong because this guy makes Michigan football exciting again.

Sorry Nosh, I just can't give RR a break....to me he just comes off on camera like some sort of moron, and he has some integrity issues that does kind of reflect poorly on the program.  Not many are used to that reflection.

gotta loosen the belt a bit when it comes to richrod fuzzy!!! lol

if people would just think of him as a little more down to earth than the crusty studious types people are use to seeing around ann arbor...maybe then everyone can understand him lol. i think coleman knew who she was hiring! now if you go back to gary moeller who was a great coach also...what would you see or think??? :)
