In hindsight, I, too, have 100% accuracy in predicting results.

It was around 5:30 pm on the day of the Walker recall vote. No results had come in yet. I was flicking around channels seeing what Fox and MSNBC were
saying. It was all this might happen, or then again, this might happen. Occurred to me folks on both sides of the issue might be feeling some anxiety listening to these "experts". Turned off the TV. No reason to upset my stomach for no good  reason.

It occurred to me that I had been following the recall and read a whole bunch about it. At least from my perspective, I knew which was the best path to follow. I'll tell you another thing. Having turned off the TV and all the hype, I knew Walker was going to win. I had faith in the folks.
The gut doesn't lie. :)

Well, maybe that and the three weeks of polls that showed Walker with a six to twelve point lead.

Well I have to admit maybe a smidge. Brought me down to earth sir. Darn it,
I was beginning to believe I was clairvoyant.

Well I can see that you'll do anything and everything to "bump" your subject so I may as well contribute something that fits the doom and gloom topic perfectly.

Is a global financial collapse coming? The fact that Germany 2-year bond yields are at 0% suggests bad news, as The Young Turks host Cenk Uygur explains.

Global Economic Collapse?

Well FF it wouldn't have been nearly as much of a bump for my single topic if your own numerous topics hadn't pushed it down the page so far. Another thing. People seem to view and post in my topic. On the other hand the vast majority of your topics quickly drop down through lack of views and a dearth of posts, other than your own. Only you persistent work keeps them on the radar.

I was just thinking about the recent “to-do” list President Obama sent to Congress demanding  they take action for the sake of the American people. Then President Obama  hits the road making speeches slamming Congress for not immediately putting their stamp on his legislation. This isn’t governing. This is campaigning. Now I expect everybody will think “what do you realistically expect 5 months from an election? Neither side is going to give an inch! All politics all the time. I understand. Right on.

But the point I would make is this is pretty much how President Obama has rolled since the Republicans first took over Congress in a landslide in 2010. Obama would throw something at them and then hit the road making public speeches slamming them for “their” intransigence. Not exactly the light touch if you know what I mean. More important, President Obama clearly seems adverse to rolling up his sleeves and doing
the hard work necessary to hammer out something meaningful with those on the other
side of the aisle. That is what a “Leader” does.

As evidence, President Clinton also experienced a similar Republican landslide that took control of Congress in 1994. Yet, together with Speaker Gingrich, he hammered out balanced budgets and did a good job reforming welfare. Clinton was willing to roll up his sleeves and do the work.

Ronald Reagan always had a Dem Congress. Yet Reagan, working with Speaker Tip O’Neal,  took an economy in the tank and presided over an economic renaissance.

Another point I would make is this. In my life I’ve seen Speaker John Boehner in action and I’ve also seen Speakers Newt Gingrich and Tip O‘Neal in action, and I‘ll tell you this. John Boehner is not nearly as formidable as a Newt Gingrich or a Tip O‘Neal.
So the bottom line this.  President Obama is either incapable, or unwilling, to do what is necessary to keep us from getting deeper in the mire. On that basis, I don’t see how giving him 4 more years of  speeches blaming others for our predicament is going to turn things around.

When the Supreme Court rules against Obamacare, either just striking down the mandate, or going further, the stock market will surge on the news. I don't think it will last because so much other negative stuff is going on, but for a little while the good news that Obamacare isn't a done deal will perk up the mood of the country.

You are on record that the supremes will strike down all or part of Obamacare. Are you placing big wagers on that?

Sammy:
You forgot the part where I said the stock market would surge. All I wager is
my credibility. Would you care to wager your credibility on the reverse? The
SC upholds Obamacare and the stock market surges.

Yes, letting insurance providers do whatever they want and ensuring plenty of people won't be able to afford insurance because they're already sick will definitely make the world a better place.

After all, if they were good people, they wouldn't be sick. They should just work it off, like Real Americans.

Listen Lordfly. If you are going to quote my post in your post then at least
address the issues in my post. It is insulting to have my post associated
with this crap you spew.

Further, if that is the way you "heard it", and believed it, then I strongly suggest you
widen your sources of information.
I'd listen to him Lordfly, this man really knows how to insult. 8*
