Anybody think the dems will talk obama into putting his wife in the race.  People will vote for her knowing he will be the president.

I will telly you one thing that is a certainty and that is, if you have a freezer and enjoy beef, pork o=r chicken, you'd better be buying it now and freezing it because this fall and winter you'll see meat prices double.  Same with grain produced products.

that's probably a good idea.  I do have a pretty big upright freezer.  Before fall I could buy a couple of slabs of NY strips and a few chickens.

I think the Obama's are just sitting back waiting for someone to beg them to save them.

That is one of the big reasons all of the BS Obama was into needs to be exposed.

I suspect that Barr will eventually expose both Obozo and Klinton for what they really were.  He's slow but methodical.  Good AG.  Why the Democruds dislike him.

A couple of nights ago Trump was even suggesting that Obama was right in the middle of large illegal activities. Up until now people have avoid dragging a former president into such a thing. Of course he was involved. Almost everyone that he appointed had been exposed.  Started with the IRS and Lois Learner.

Yet during that whole 8 years you never heard a single Democrat suggest that a Constitutional Crisis or an abuse of power was going on.

Not a single Democratic version of Justin Amash stood up to speak out.  For that matter - very few Republicans made a sound about it either.

In my opinion, not a chance. Just read when Obama and Michelle went to Italy (Private Jet)
and rented place charging $ 60K per week. Then they were off to see George Clooney and the wife at their Italian villa on Lake Como. Trade that lifestyle for the BS of Washington?

Saturday June 22nd The Monroe Evening News ran an article by Paul delespinasse (yes last name doesn’t start with a capital D).  Paul is professor emeritus at Adrian College,

The article took up one third of the editorial page, must be important.
This isn’t the first article I’ve seen of his in The Monroe Evening News, they must like what he writes, but I digress.

The title of the article was 100% tax on all estates?

Let me give you my take on what he wrote. When anybody dies their estate, large or small, is taken by the government, all of it. He throws in an exception where the widow could still inherit from her husband.

This money would then be distributed to the folks equally, not just those “lucky” enough to be born in the family, you know, family members.

He writes:

“At first glance this would be horribly unpopular. But such a tax just might command majority support if incorporated in a total package benefiting the vast majority of the population and moving society in a direction generally recognized as progress.”

Now before you get agitated thinking about government controlling  money that is to be distributed amongst the people equally, don’t worry. Paul explains; rather than putting the money in the treasury, it would have to be deposited into a “trust fund” run by the government as trustee for the public.  So see, nothing to worry about.

Well I have quite a few thoughts on the article, but I’ll be generous and let other contributors have the joy of weighing in first.

My answer to that proposal:

There are plenty of other swell countries to live in.

See ya bitches.  You aren't stealing all my hard work.  I'll decide who benefits from it - not you.

And the only money the government would get would be ours. The millionaires and billionaires would beat the system, like they always do.
I saw some footage rolled out by CNN or one of other democrats cable news outlets that almost all millionaires would rather pay more income taxes.  Sure they would...Why not just write a check then?

Sure they want to pay more income tax.

That is why they hire accountants and tax lawyers to use every tax law in the book so they don't have to.

That is why the truly rich lobby for more tax code so they don't have to.

Yep - they all WANT to pay more income tax.  Just ask them.

Must be a dickhead socialist.

Leave it to Side to cut to the chase.

But I have a few things in particular I'd like to point out. Pauli writes: "Now before you get agitated thinking about government controlling  money that is to be distributed amongst the people equally, don’t worry. Paul explains; rather than putting the money in the treasury, it would have to be deposited into a “trust fund” run by the government as trustee for the public."  So see, nothing to worry about. To call this guy delusional would be kind. He tells us to deposit these funds into a trust, not the U.S. Treasury, but then says it will be run by the federal government, as trustee for the public. Well that makes me feel a lot better.

This guy is not only delusional, he's stupid. He thinks by saying the money "won't go into the treasury", meaning we don't have to worry about the government stealing the money, because this trust fund is special, unlike the $ 2.5 trillion the government stole from the SS "Trust Fund".

I could go on, but that would be piling on. Here's my bottom line. Why would parents pay
$ 20K plus per year to send their kids to college to be taught by loons like this guy?

Why would the Monroe Evening News give this loon such prominent space on their editorial page?
Can it be they think he has a valid point?

I'm not saying the paper can't provide other viewpoints, that I and others might disagree with, but come on. This is pile of horse excrement from a person who obviously did too  mushrooms before he became an emeritus.
