I don't trust any news show to give me the complete truth about a topic, but I yearn for the day whe they give me honest facts without any spin trying to push me in whatever their preferred direction might be.  Take it all with a large box of salt, and let me come to my own conclusion (and still be able to have good discussions with anyone who doesn't expect my view to be the same as his/hers)
Amen.

That's why I watch the Daily Show. They report more facts than any other News outlet, and do it in a humorous manner.

And before anyone says that it is a different offshoot of a liberal media organization, I will admit that the majority of their "articles" may have a liberal spin, but they denounce both sides of the aisle when they, ummm, "mess" up.

BBC, NPR, and The Christian Science Monitor are about as close as I've found to "neutral" news reporting.

Fox News compares damn near everything they don't like to Nazi's just turning the tables on them is all.

And I do see them at damn near the same level, they just aren't up to exterminating people.... yet. They will however, hack into dead peoples phones, (News Corp did it and they own Fox), and do anything else they can to manipulate the people into doing their will.

Sounds like Nazi Germany to me.

When a corporation will LIE to you, because it might hurt them financially to tell the truth, I'd say that's pretty evil.

I'm sure Goebbels would have loved Fox news and their reporting tactics...Like I said, I'm not defending Fox and I find their use of comparing anything to the Nazi's just as wrong...You have no idea how infuriated I get when they try to compare Obama and any of his policy's to Hitler's regime...Anyone who believes such a thing is a complete fool!

I get what you are saying though, because so many want to be told what to believe...We see it all the time on here with the party line copy and paste!

I'd just like for ALL news agencies to be required to report facts, and not be able to legally lie to further their agenda.

I guess that is just too much to ask for.

Absolutely agree!   And yes, it probably is too much to ask for (in print, TV, radio, Internet, everywhere.  Guess that is why we have all these discussions, which definitely keeps life from being a daily boredom?)

Don't see? or don't look... (or have others searching).

I'm not convinced that all the other political "news' outlets are flawless -
but I don't sit around searching the internet for examples.

Some see a conspiracy around any and every action they disagree with - such as your assumtion pictures are doctored.  Do you know for a fact or just what someone else posted...  which came first the chicken or the egg?,  the pictures on the left could have been doctored under your same theory.

Maybe all the ratings they are getting is from people who troll looking for a slip, but they still lead in the ratings regarless of the attacks against them by fake news site.

After being spoon fed the news for years from the old networks, Fox found a niche that apparently the majority of the people watching (at all ages) seem to enjoy.
Take your news sources for what you want, if you don't like one no one is making you watch it.   Most of the "news" shows people complain about are entertainment and not really news.  Doubt if any mass killings are coming because someone on the news makes a mistake, or even purposely skews or slants the news to their views.
It has been going on in the news world for years!
More hypocrisy....dismissed FB's posts as conspiratorial and then inferred networks other than Fox are spoon feeding....LOL....classic projection.

While it's true that mistakes happen....it's also true that distortions and lies are commonplace at Fox News.

It's incredible what lengths the right will go to to defend their favorite slanted news source.

The denials are hilarious.

The first thing I thought of when juxtaposing Fox News and Nazi Germany is the first responses of many American citizens....pretending it wasn't happening.

That's very much the same response of those accepting the blatantly biased news from the Fox network.

Fox News has been busted time after time...yet an often heard response from the right-wing supporters is....well they all do it.  8*

Agree... At least the "news" reported here isn't depressing, and makes you do some thinking for yourself.

The only reference to conspiracy was in the pictures - pointing out that we don't actually know which one may or may not have been doctored to make whatever political points someone was trying to make.

President Clinton was a master at this himself depending on his target audience.

As for the rest of your post - you can fish or cut bait, I'm not biting...   ;D

What I find interesting is the show I enjoy the best at 9, Piers Morgan still suffers from Larry King turning the masses off to CNN at that timeslot.

Probaly really gets in the mind of the Fox haters that Hannity crushes Maddow by over a million viewers

Net        9PM   P2+ (000s)     25-54 (000s)     35-64 (000s)

That link does not show what Fox owns, it shows what News Corp. owns. You should work on posting correct links. You are looking for Fox Entertainment Group, but you wouldn't want to take the fer seconds to do the research.

I do, but you said what here is a link of what Fox owns, not what News Corp. owns. They are different entities, and Fox Entertainment Group is owned by News Corp., Fox does not own the WSJ or have a stake in hulu, but News Corp. does. Just admit you posted the wrong wording.

Not a Piers fan on any show...just tired of English accents...or any accents for that matter.

The ratings age range sure seems odd....25-54 and 35-64
I don't even know who Hannity is...I don't have cable TV
Sort of figured it must be somebody the elderly righties must watch...you know, the ones without better things to do....just waiting for the end to come.

News Corp was created in 1979 by Rupert Murdoch as a holding company for News Limited. News Limited was created by Murdoch from the assets he inherited in 1952 following the death of his father, Sir Keith Murdoch, and subsequent expansion. The main asset left to him was ownership of the Adelaide afternoon tabloid, The News. News Limited operates today as News Corporation's Australian brand, operating out of Surry Hills, in Sydney.
1211 Avenue of the Americas (Sixth Avenue), Midtown Manhattan, New York City, United States, headquarters of the News Corporation.
Main studios of the News Corporation's Fox News Channel viewed at street level from 1211 Avenue of the Americas in New York City.
[edit] Moving into the United States

News Ltd. made its first acquisition in the United States in 1973, when it purchased the San Antonio Express-News. Soon afterwards it founded the National Star, a supermarket tabloid, and in 1976 it purchased the New York Post.

In 1981 News Corp bought half of the movie studio 20th Century Fox, buying the other half in 1984. In 1985 News Corp announced it was buying the Metromedia group of stations, setting the stage for the launch of a fourth U.S. commercial broadcasting television network. On 4 September 1985, Murdoch became a naturalized citizen to satisfy the legal requirement that only United States citizens could own American television stations. In 1986, the Metromedia deal closed, and the Fox Broadcasting Company was launched. This network, known on-screen as "Fox", can now be picked up in over 96% of U.S. households.
