Christfollower, I suggest you talk to your accounting manager at work. You should not have to pay Michigan tax quarterly. I used to drive (tractor trailers over road) for a company in Iowa, and lived here. They paid my tax to Michigan directly, just like any other job I've had.

Trucking companies do it all the time with their out of state employees, I see no reason why they can't too.

Thanks for the advice, I tried to set this up. However they do not have it available as of right now, at least thats what they told me. I do think they are working on it hough. I know that they just changed how we pay the Michigan taxes for people who buy cars. It used to be that we would charge them the taxes at the sale and issue them a check back with the title to pay the taxes. Now we can actually pay the taxes directly to the state. So I can forsee them being able to withdraw my state taxes from my checks soon.

I don't work.
I am retired after 40+ years.
They still take their taxes out of my Social Security and pension.
Good luck on your work.

I work part time at home for a transcribing company.  I also deliver the Monroe News for 20 customers.  Not a lot of money but it works right now.  I get to be with my kids all day so that's what matters most.

Wishing very heavily that I could get the money to take some holistic classes.  I really want to learn Reiki, hypnotherapy, and things of that nature.  Ho hum, one of these days...  :)

I had to finally walk away from my job after suffering a medical condition without insurance, and not being paid in ten weeks. Every dime the bussiness took in, went to keeping it running. None of the five employees saw a paycheck for at least ten weeks just to try to keep our jobs afloat.

Landscaping, nice work when it pays.

Now I'm a stay at home Grandpa to my 16 month old grandson. Wife and adult daughter both work in Michigan.
