I will be needing a wheelchair for a period of time and am looking to purchase a used one instead of renting one.  I am finding it difficult to find one here in Monroe County.  Any help or suggestions?

Maybe try the cancer society or a nursing home?  I'm not for sure.  Good luck in finding one.

www.searchtempest.com can search all the various local craigslist sites at one time.
Just enter your zip, what you're looking for, sort the cities by distance and sort the listing by either low price or most recent.

I stopped by Damacus house on my way home and they had one around where the tv's  and tables are.
The foot-rests was laying on a table close-by.

Looks like it's gone now...the garbage is still there so I assume someone will put it to good use.

I guess that's a heck of an assumption considering the perfectly good stuff being carted into the scrap metal place.
