Maybe it is browser related.  I use chrome and it certainly DOES NOT WORK!

Is there a point to using the quick reply?

Just turn it off in the "look and layout" section of your profile.

Well, maybe there is no "need" but I use it.  Besides if something is SUPPOSED to work it is annoying when it does not.  Kind of like a traffic light that no longer changes to green but forever flashes yellow.  Just wrong.

I agree with duck. There may not be a 'need' for it, but it does come in handy.

I actually use the quick reply more often than I use the reply button to open a new page. It's just more convenient.  :)

I have quick reply turned on and when I click "quote" it goes to a box on the same page as the original post.  However NOW that box is very, very wide and a paragraph does not word wrap.

I suppose the logical answer is to turn off the quick reply, but I really prefer it.  Besides, it is SUPPOSED to work.

Thanks. Guess I'm just used to selecting quote to reply.....or just reply to add something.
I seem to recall the quick reply being messed up before....a long time ago...back when it was first offered after the forum received an update.....lots of people complained....I believe enabled was the default setting.....so I just disabled it.

I think it was too, Fry. At the time though, I didn't use it. Now that I use it as often as I do, it's annoying that it's broke! lol
