There are many news articles on Baby Kate from Ludington.  I was hoping that the young man involved would have told authorities where the baby was by now.  She has been missing since June 29th, along with a cell phone of the mothers that was left in the car when he took off with the baby.  Please take a minute to look at this baby girls picture and pass it on to those you know.  If you have family and friends in that area please encourage them to sign up and help search for her.

The preliminary hearing has been adjourned until August for Sean Phillips but still no word on the 4 month old little girls' whereabouts.  The blood droplets they were talking about seem to have been bird feces and depending on what article you read, the Wendy's cameras weer not working that day but a person that works there said she waited onhim but he didn't have the girls with him.  This is a hard story to keep up with because of the many differences in information between news articles.

911 call, ground search called off. Sean still not talking.  Something is still very fishy.  I pray this child is safe.    She calls 911 not 5 minutes later to report her daughter missing, I am curious as to what phone she used?  On another one of the 911 tapes that was released on Woodtv you can read more of the 911 call.

Mlive has some recent coverage on what's happening with this missing baby, but there doesn't seem to be many changes.  Although several of the comments are very interesting and I do hope that the investigators are checking into some of them.  For instance...where was the other daughter, why would he go take his DNA test and then kidnap the baby before she got hers, The mother having to go back and get keys from apartment-she left it unlocked...then keys turned into she forgot the baby's stroller and so on. People want to believe that mother's don't hurt their children that they protect them but more and more mother's are hurting their children even murdering them. 

Case in Point:  Sharon Hinojosa (Huron twp?) was found competant to stand trial for murdering two of her three children by setting fire to their trailer, the judge is allowing her confession to be heard.  Thank you to the judge for that one.  It's a shame if she is found guilty that she even gets to live.

Still nothing new about this baby.  How frustrating when babies change in appearance so rapidly.  Holding onto hope that this little one is safe in the arms of someone who will see that she is returned to those that love her.
I wonder where his hunting blind was and if he had more than one.  It seems I heard them mention that in the beginning but it may have been in readers comments.  If you see a family that has a baby and you've never seen the female looking pregnant look close at that child please, ask questions about the pregnancy and if anything at all seems out of place please call the police.  I am still wondering what phone she tried to call him from before she called 911.  Most younger people don't have a home phone and a cell phone.

This still seems weird; now they say he had Baby Katherines clothes in his pockets the day she went missing.  I still want to know whose phone she immediately tried calling his cellphone on, and then whose phone she contacted 911 on since hers was in the car.  Did the diaper bag still have the normal items in it?  Is the immunization record still with the mom or is that missing too?  What were the results of his dna test?  Was he even the daddy?  And who had the other daughter at the time?

Monday, April 16th the father is facing charges.

"Prosecutors this week said they were dropping a parental kidnapping charge against 21-year-old Sean Phillips of Victory Township. The 15-year felony charge against Phillips, secret confinement (also known as unlawful imprisonment), still stands"

You're the judge and jury now? Did you ever stop to think you may be way too invested in the cases you report on?

No I am not judge and jury by no means. The guilty verdict wasn't determined by me.  And the "move on" was what the mother told the woman on the stand questioning her.  I found it very disrespectful behavior in a courtroom for her to be allowed to speak like that without being reprimanded; but it did have a nice ring to it : )  As far as too invested...these are innocent children who have had their voices taken away from them usually at the hands of an adult who is supposed to protect them.  I don't think taking a few minutes here and there to post on it really is that much time invested...if you do, I am sorry-truly sorry.

I agree marilyn.monroe it hardly seems adequate but there really doesn't seem to be any consistency with crimes and punishments...some people get the book thrown at them and others get five or so charges dropped and a slap on the hand.  It's like with the k2, yes a $200.00 fine for those  selling it is a start but if someone can make $1,000.00 selling it at there store do you think paying a meer $200.00 will deter them?
