Any one here post from an iphone?
« on: September 10, 2011, 10:12:12 PM »

I currently have a mockup of a blackberry. It doesn't have full html, but I can get on here and look around. It's really helpful for finding cheap gas when I'm out and about, and for directions for places I haven't been to before.

Just wondering if anyone has had a regular cell phone then went to an iphone, and how much better (or worse) they like it (or hate it).

I had a blackberry smart phone and went back to my original phone . . . what a waste of money!  I am even thinking of taking the text feature off my phone. Heck, if anyone wants to talk to me, call me or keep quiet!!   :-\

I am posting fromy iPhone right now. I couldn't be without some sort of smartphone due to needing immediate access to commodities quotes throughout the day and evenings. Has saved a great deal of time from having to get on the computer 100 times a day. Plus keeps all of my email accounts close at hand. Of course there are many features I use regularly, such as texting and the navigational apps. Best feature is the iPod with me at all times. Whether with headphones or by using the speaker, music is always close at hand. And with Pandora radio a large variety can be played even if not in your own music library.
Just switched from a Droid, and it had basically the same options, but the iPhone is smoother.

Well the phone I have now, only cost me $45, and it's $40 a month for the service. It also doubles as an MP3 player, (have about 100 or so songs on there right now) and takes pretty good pictures as well. Even tells me how many more pictures I have left available to take on my memory card. (15,280 remaining at the moment).

A friend of mine has an iphone, and uses it quite extensively in his DJ business. He can remotely run the music that he plays with it, and it can take movies as well.

I wouldn't mind having one, I just can't justify the cost at this time.

If you mean a true "Iphone" then I can't help you.

I'm using an original Droid and I have posted from it although I use it mostly just to observe when I'm away from my desk.  I think Shaggy uses a Droid to post quite often.

I had a blackberry smart phone and went back to my original phone . . . what a waste of money!  I am even thinking of taking the text feature off my phone. Heck, if anyone wants to talk to me, call me or keep quiet!!   :-\

I had a World Edition Blackberry eriemermaid and going from a conventional cell phone with just email and a phone to that was a "long learning curve" for me.  They hated to see me coming at the Verizon store.

It didn't have a camera but neither had any of my prior cell phones since I almost always have a camera or two with me anyway.  I will say that it handled my Charter email accounts way better than my Droid does although my Droid works perfect with Gmail.  I did like the quality of the BlackBerry better than most phones.

Our son bought a Droid Bionic last Thursday (the day they were available) to replace his original Droid and he says it's a major step forward.  Even has an 8 megapixel camera.  The big thing with the bionic is it's a 4G phone and we don't have much 4G service around here YET!  He lives and works in Toledo and they do have it.  He is checking to see how far into south county he can get 4G service.  If we will be getting 4G anytime in the next couple of years that will probably be my next phone.

The Droid was a great phone when it came out but of course technology is moving so fast that it's hard to keep up.  It had some memory issues but once I learned to tweak it that wasn't a problem.

I use mine for work so it's tax deductible so I can justify the price (at least to the IRS) ;) ;) ;)
