It is SO good to see a busy parking lot at Mugsy's again! 

It's been a grueling few months of contractors and inspectors . . . . but YOU DID IT! !  You're Back!


If I didn't have this cold I would have been there for some wings tonight.    But, soon.

I was there Monday night for a $4.00 Patty Melt, or was it $3.50?  IDK for sure, but a sandwich, fries and a beer cost me just a tad over $7.  I love the "specials" menu!

They're a good family and they've been such a big part of Monroe for so long . . . . I'm so glad that mess is behind them. 

I'll be making my visit soon.

Went 3 times. Wasn't impressed.  Never going back.  Better and cheaper places to eat that are closer to the house.

I like Mugsy's, glad they're open again. We'll go soon. Great menu and the best chef salad anywhere. The salad has been the same since I was a kid, so I guess it belongs more to Sport Center than Mugsy's. I worked there back when it was Ernie's. I couldn't stand the grouchy old man, but his sons and grandson are very pleasant people.

   SURELY you don't mean Jerry!  He's one of the hardest working guys I know and a wonderful family man. 

I'd sure hate to think his kids or grandkids, my friends, would read this about their Dad.   


He's a very nice guy.

No, I like Jerry very much. Ernie is the grumpy old man I hated working for. It was miserable for the majority of females working there at the time. He treated us like second class citizens. Even his kids knew he was awful to work for!

Jerry, being in a public position, has a much tougher skin than you might think, as do all the Helds.

And I said just to please you, JMO. If you're in the restaurant biz and can't handle a little criticism, then get another job.
