It is going to remain a three way stop.

It is a shame that a snap of the fingers doesn't get a bridge built.
Plus it was better than the alternative which was closing the bridge altogether or at least closing the southbound lane.
Besides, it doesn't seem to be that difficult of a "course" to maneuver, but some may want to avoid the area if so.

If the bridge is going to remain two lanes, then can't the city at least put up something other than a few lightweight cones to guide traffic? I go thru there frequently, and the cones are knocked over and people are driving all over the place, even head-on. It's a dangerous setup the way that it is--fenderbender waiting to happen.

Although there are cones between the lanes, there are signs northbound and southbound on Macomb Street announcing single lane traffic as well as construction. Drivers should be more careful in construction areas, and generally the cones are in place. There are also arrows and other barracades showing the northbound lanes closed.

I will mention to the appropriate department a more sturdy or rigid divider on the roadway and see if he feels more should be done, especially with winter coming. Thanks.

I don't see the present cones being any match for 4" of wet snow and a plow!!!

What a new bridge? I thought work was just done to repair that bridge recently? Is the cost of this covered by the millage? If not where is the money coming from?

There is a sign on the bridge explaining that this bridge will be replaced in 2012 using bridge millage money.

Haven't seen the sign to busy dodging traffic cones but I thought that money was ear marked for the Winchester and Roessler street bridges?

More knocked over cones today and people driving in the oncoming lane (no, it wasn't me!). I did see the "rebuilding" signs, tho!

Can't the city put up some barrels or paint some lines or something more permanent in the meantime?

I see that there is a raised part with a steel plate over it. Since its close to the snow flying, might as well do a quick fix 'level' the areas needed and start again in the Spring.
