MONROE, MI -- It's been two years since the community of Monroe and the rest of the region were rocked by news that 5 year old Nevaeh Buchanan vanished. The little girl went missing on May 24, 2009.

Nevaeh was snatched from from the Charlotte Arms Apartments, where she lived with her mother and her grandmother.  Her body was found 10 days later in a shallow grave, encased in concrete, along the banks of the River Raisin.

So far no arrests have been made. A $50,000 reward is being offered in the case.

Sorry...   I have some mixed emotions on these "memorials" being dedicated over the "Memorial Day Weekend".  I'm looking at both sides of the issue...  it's a date close to the time she disappeared...  but the "traditional" Memorial Day events are to honor the deceased veterans of US conflicts...

Like I said...   mixed emotions

Hi BRD.  You know me, I never say much because, well, you never know who is listening. . . So I will not get into specifics.  But I assure you and everyone else that Nevaeh's case is FAR from cold.

I've also heard several short comments on some of the Toledo News stations in the last few days.

I don't see any video links and guess none of them are going to say anything much different...

I did see a couple of articles this morning on a similar case from New York that happened back in the 1970s...   they finally think they have solved that case
