Fictitious title game...  not sanctioned by the NCAA

In fact a rerun game that you drool over would be meaningless

Remember its a team sport - but apparently you don't have an actual team
never met someone who roots for a conference...  try picking a team sometime :-)

By default it is NCAA Sanctioned.

As for the other. When it comes crunch time ALL SEC people who follow the SEC Teams root for the conference. We are the best conference in the world and our games actually mean something.
LSU, Alabama, Arkansas would all win the Big Slow with their second teams.

????????

I had no idea those poor boys had been under such a stress.Seriously, give me a break. What kind of hell have they been through? If they win today they finish their careers 1-7 against their 2 biggest rivals?? poor boys we should erect a statue perhaps.

Well lets see, they went through the 3 worst years in school history, were coached by 3 different head coaches, were part of the first ever NCAA violation for the football team and as you mentioned have a horrible record against OSU and MSU.

All I'm saying is they have been great little troopers and marched on through all that. They've led this team by example and turned this season into something great. As a Michigan fan I am really proud of the way the seniors have handled themselves through these last 4-5 years. Piss off if you don't like it.

Interesting...   Tressel showed up in Columbus to give the team a sendoff "motivational" speech...

Quote
The final pep talk for the Buckeyes before they left Columbus on Friday came from a very familiar voice.

Former head coach Jim Tressel, who was forced to resign in late May as the tattoo and memorabilia scandal snowballed into a full-fledged NCAA scavenger hunt, stepped in front of what used to be his team and delivered some words of encouragement before the final game of the season.

The content of the message did not seem all that important to senior center Mike Brewster, who was part of three Big Ten championship teams under Tressel and three wins over Michigan.

"Oh, it was the same stuff that used to bore us, but we couldn't wait to hear it this time," Brewster said. "I had tears, for sure."

I doubt LSU, Bama, or Arkansas would even win a game in the Big10. Indiana would run up the score on LSU.

So which "team" do you follow?

Every conference has a few teams at the top.
when you pick a team - and follow it for years - you'll understand the difference.

BTW show us the NCAA site for Div 1 football championships?
BCS is a for profit organization set up to control the bowl system - not close to a sanctioned NCAA system...

Glad to see the Defense win the shootout.  Go Blue!

I think LSU will handle Georgia in the SEC Championship game.

Alabama's regular season is done and holds their only loss to LSU.

Let's just say that Oklahoma State beats Oklahoma next weekend.......want to see the LSU/Alabama rematch, or put Oklahoma State up against LSU.  I like the LSU/Oklahoma State match up as I think that would be one hell of a game.

I seem to recall a few years back when Michigan lost to OSU down at Columbus by a field goal....they were numbers 1 and 2 at the time, but someone else got the nod over the rematch within the conference.

Notice none of them are NCAA champions though. It lists different organizations that picked champions, not the NCAA itself.

I know, but people asked for the NCAA site and there is the site that shows the national champs according to the selecting organizations. Now we will never know who is truly the best team in the nation until the system is fixed. With that said I think the correct team has won the national title more times than not, but we will never know for sure.

Also, the more and more I think about it there should be a Alabama LSU rematch for the BCS title. Alabama's defense is one of the best ever, they have not allowed more than 2 TD's a game (Georgia Southern scored 3, but one was a KR TD).  Through 12 games they have only allowed 10 TD's and opponents are only averaging 8.8 points a game and they allow under 200 yards a game. All of this while having the 16th best offense in PPG. LSU has the number 2 defense and are 13th in offensive PPG.

One of the best defenses since the 85' Wolverines who allowed 5 tds all year including there bowl game over Nebraska.

What about the following defenses: 1992 Alabama, 2001 Miami, 1961 Alabama ( allowed 25 points in 11 games), 1959 Syracuse, 1995 Nebraska, 1985 Oklahoma. Michigan has had some great defenses, but I would take almost any defense on this list over theirs, and I would probably rank this Alabama defense ahead of their defenses.
