  • The BRD in her 'younger' days... 2007.

The number of fatal accidents in Monroe County is way, way up over last year even.  Seems like prior to this year we had been seeing declining numbers right along...

Is this related to the high unemployment...  people with nothing to do out driving around???   to reckless behavior (drugs, alcohol abuse)...   or is it maybe the poor condition of our roads...    fewer LE officers on the road...

I really don't know...  not sure there is an actual answer...

just looking for 'opinions' ;) ;) ;)

I'd be curious to see how the statistics would compare to other rural counties of Michigan if I75 and US23 fatality data were to be extracted.

Two major thoroughfares our data could be influenced by versus most other Michigan counties.

Chattanooga has two interstates and 2 major highways running through it and less accidents.

Michigan drivers plain suck.

Citation please for the stat comparison for the county that Chattanooga is in to support your claim.

Beautiful area by the way....we just put in a plant in that area.  I fell in love with the place.

Pretty much if someone is doing something idiotic on the road they have Michigan plates. I LOVE getting behind those Yankee screw ups and lay on the horn.

Nope. I've been in every state, plus Mexico, The PI, Canada, France and England,

The worst drivers anywhere are from Michigan. No one else is close.
