ATG, they have "cruises to nowhere" off the east coast that go for 3 days, 1 1/2 days out and 1 1/2 days back.  It's relatively inexpensive and a great way to "try" cruising.  Some people don't like them.  (I DO)  You should try one!   :)

I'm with Monique.  I don't ever expect to go on a cruise and am waiting for every glorious moment that Erie can share.  I want this trip to be all she dreamed and so much more.  Be spoiled and enjoy, sweet lady!

I think I'd wear a mumu if I was on a cruse...LMAO!

The 3 day cruise sounds interesting...Basicly 2 nights on a ship? sounds cool.

I've never cruised Holland, only ever gone Carnival Cruise Lines.

I'm sure they all have short cruises for the beginner.  ;D   ;D

That sounds awesome! But I doubt I'll be able to try it anytime soon... :(  so I'll just do what Monique and Skitt are doing. I'll live through Erie! lol And just be horribly jealous :P

ATG, I've been on 2 and I'm completely and comfortably resigned to the fact that there may be no more. But, you never know.  My opportunities came out of nowhere to go cruising. both times.  Just listen for those knocks at the door and be ready to let them in! 

 So, with that said . . . I too am living vicariously through Erie's experience. 

In fact, I'm willing to bet that not many (if ANY) of us know ANYONE who has done a WORLD CRUISE! ! ! !  WORLD CRUISE! ! !  'Cmon!  Erie is the first person I know (and probably will EVER know) to do this.

Just watched a recent mystery about a cruise ship death.

Started to look for it when I found this:

And before the attacks begin....knowledge is power.

Maybe the story was more about missing since they never found the man...just blood below the balcony.

Not specific to the story but I found this:
