I'd take the Shaggy Marlin and a case of Natty Ice over what we have out there now.

Leyland still needs to be fired as well as Dombrowski.

Actually I think Leyland should get credit for the bats as he brought up a second pair of eyes to assist - and it has worked, as the bats are starting to show up.

DETROIT -- It’s been nearly a month since the Detroit Tigers added a second hitting assistant to their coaching staff.

And since the arrival of Toby Harrah, the team's minor league hitting coordinator, the Tigers have gone 15-7 while averaging 5.6 runs per game.

Coincidence? Perhaps, but one thing is clear: Detroit's offense has been clicking on all cylinders the past month.

my husband and youngest daughter attended the game last Thursday....section 126 just behind the on deck circle..... tickets were a gift..... they had a great time.... said the players were friendly and joking around.... seats were the best they've ever had at Comerica.... daughter is a Prince Fielder fan :)

Actually I think Leyland has done a great job with the team this year.He was handed Cabrera,Fielder,Verlander and a large pile of crap.Nobody is having a career year(maybe Jackson is) and on July 23rd we sit here with the Tigs in first place. Dombrowski on the other hand is responsible for building this team. It as as many weaknesses as strengths.

With the trade deadline a week away what should the Tigers do? A starting pitcher, a 2B,corner outfielder?

3 runs down with 2 outs - nice comeback today.

It's the first time all season a team has trailed by at least three runs with two outs and nobody on in its last at-bat and come back to win in that inning, according to STATS, LLC. The last time it happened was Sept. 27, when the Arizona Diamondbacks scored six runs in a similar situation to beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 7-6.

Watching Cabrera or Fielder hit home runs is fun, but wow how cool is it to see an inside the park home run?
