I could say the same about TMT's list.....garbage.  Greater transparency and better government?  Give.Me.a.Break.

Who put that list together...the DNC?  Anyways, I was just asking family man why he thought Odumbo deserved a 2nd term.  He shot from the hip and missed...meaning he provided no answer.

And fyi, the requirement to purchase something from a third party....obamacare.

ussoccer, you're right...neither party can boast such a candidate, but obalarkey is going full steam ahead right over the cliff.  I'd vote for a lint filter before I'd give him a 2nd chance to continue his destuction of this country.

I'll bet if I did some Googling I could find who put your list together...

even though you didn't bother citing the person who did all the original research 8* 8* 8*

The Republicans would probably have a better chance if they DID put "A Lint Filter" as their candidate.

They have one, it's stuffed in a sweater vest... :P

So many accomplishments.  It's a wonder they're not making room for him on Mt. Rushmore.

Of course there's a downside:

First President to Preside Over a Cut to the Credit Rating of the United States Government

• First President to Violate the War Powers Act

The First!?!
Are you kidding me???
Oh please explain this one.

 • First President to Orchestrate the Sale of Murder Weapons to Mexican Drug Cartels

Really?

• First President to issue an unlawful "recess-appointment" while the U.S. Senate remained in session (against the advice of his own Justice Department).

When has this stopped the government from anything? Unlawful?

• First President to be Held in Contempt of Court for Illegally Obstructing Oil Drilling in the Gulf of Mexico

• First President to Defy a Federal Judge's Court Order to Cease Implementing the 'Health Care Reform' Law

He is THE LAW! See above under War Powers Act.

• First President to halt deportations of illegal aliens and grant them work permits, a form of stealth amnesty roughly equivalent to "The DREAM Act", which could not pass Congress

• First President to Require All Americans to Purchase a Product From a Third Party

• First President to Spend a Trillion Dollars on 'Shovel-Ready' Jobs -- and Later Admit There Was No Such Thing as Shovel-Ready Jobs

• First President to sue states for requiring valid IDs to vote, even though the same administration requires valid IDs to travel by air

• First President to Abrogate Bankruptcy Law to Turn Over Control of Companies to His Union Supporters

FASCISM in your face baby! Get used to it there is more to come.

• First President to sign into law a bill that permits the government to "hold anyone suspected of being associated with terrorism indefinitely, without any form of due process. No indictment. No judge or jury. No evidence. No trial. Just an indefinite jail sentence."

• First President to Bypass Congress and Implement the DREAM Act Through Executive Fiat

Again, see War Powers Act.

• First President to Threaten Insurance Companies After They Publicly Spoke out on How Obamacare Helped Cause their Rate Increases

• First President to Threaten an Auto Company (Ford) After It Publicly Mocked Bailouts of GM and Chrysler

• First President to "Order a Secret Amnesty Program that Stopped the Deportations of Illegal Immigrants Across the U.S., Including Those With Criminal Convictions"

Look up "Operation Wetback" for a better idea.

• First President to Demand a Company Hand Over $20 Billion to One of His Political Appointees

Really? You're gonna have to prove that one. Good Luck!

• First President to Terminate America's Ability to Put a Man into Space.

Really? We ain't been there in what 30 years? So what!

• First President to Encourage Racial Discrimination and Intimidation at Polling Places

• First President to Have a Law Signed By an 'Auto-pen' Without Being "Present"

But that's how he used to vote as a Senator, just....present.

• First President to Arbitrarily Declare an Existing Law Unconstitutional and Refuse to Enforce It

Are you talking about marijuana? Good for him!

• First President to Tell a Major Manufacturing Company In Which State They Are Allowed to Locate a Factory

You mean Boeing? When they no longer recieve government subsidies they can ***** about it. I don't like it either but you can't serve two masters. They picked theirs. Think GM really wants to build the VOLT!?

• First President to refuse to comply with a House Oversight Committee subpoena.

He is THE LAW!

• First President to File Lawsuits Against the States He Swore an Oath to Protect (AZ, WI, OH, IN, etc.)

• First President to Withdraw an Existing Coal Permit That Had Been Properly Issued Years Ago

• First President to Fire an Inspector General of Americorps for Catching One of His Friends in a Corruption Case

• First President to Propose an Executive Order Demanding Companies Disclose Their Political Contributions to Bid on Government Contracts

• First President to allow Mexican police to conduct law enforcement activities on American soil

• First President to Golf 90 or More Times in His First Three Years in Office

Just wait for the next one! Four more years of Obama? So freaking what!
Wonder what the next war is gonna be like?
We'll find out in the next year or so...maybe sooner?

Someday we will all remember -  it's not always the Presidents decision - Congress is the one that controls much of what we do, the President can establish goals and prod/guide congress.  They need to work together!
Prof, I like a lot of what you write but on this one I have to give it a big POO POO!

I'll do it again.

Senate Report 93-549, first 3 paragraphs. This is from 1973. Since then there have been a multitude of other items finally culminating in what we have today; The Patriot Act. Which could other wise be refered to as the Suspend the 4th Amendment Act.
Since 1973 there have been no tangible changes made that would substantially change the powers given to the President and/or the provisions and assertions made in the Report.

Since March 9, 1933, the United States has been in a state of declared national emergency. In fact, there are now in effect four presidentially-proclaimed states of national emergency: In addition to the national emergency declared by President Roosevelt in 1933, there are also the national emergency proclaimed by President Truman on December 16, 1950, during the Korean conflict, and the states of national emergency declared by President Nixon on March 23, 1970, and August 15, 1971.

These proclamations give force to 470 provisions of Federal law. These hundreds of statutes delegate to the President extraordinary powers, ordinarily exercised by the Congress, which affect the lives of American citizens in a host of all-encompassing manners. This vast range of powers, taken together, confer enough authority to rule the country without reference to normal Constitutional processes.

Under the powers delegated by these statutes, the President may: seize property; organize and control the means of production; seize commodities; assign military forces abroad; institute martial law; seize and control all transportation and communication; regulate the operation of private enterprise; restrict travel; and, in a plethora of particular ways, control the lives of all American citizens.

Let's break down paragraph three just for the fun of it.

Under the powers delegated by these statutes, the President may: seize property;

IRS, FEMA, TSA, FBI, RICO Laws.

 organize and control the means of production;

General Motors? Two hundred years of Contract Law thrown under the bus.
Energy Production? Food Production?

 seize commodities;

Liberty Dollar!!!

 assign military forces abroad;

You get this one!

 institute martial law;

Hurricane Katrina? Nice test for future operation wasn't it?
Check out KBR.

 seize and control all transportation and communication;

Reagan did it with the Air Traffic Controllers.
Didn't the government just require everyone to switch over to digital TV's?
They even offer coupons to those that couldn't afford it. Hmm?
Do you have an "Enhanced Drivers License?
How long is the wait now for an FCC license for a Ham Radio Operator?
And on, and on, and on.

 regulate the operation of private enterprise;

You already get this one. If you are a small business owner/operator you know it better than anyone!

 restrict travel;

Been to an airport lately?
Over the last three years I have been in and out of this country 17 or so times and have donated $400.00 worth of luggage to the DHS and the TSA thanks to their search techniques.
I have been subject to their taxpayer funded pat downs and rather BS questioning. On the up side; I have not missed a flight nor have I been formally detained. I have however been put on the informal "no fly list" with my co-workers! ;D

Not to mention the several cases of "atheletes foot" and one bout with "planters warts" I have recieved courtesy of walking in line with the rest of the shoeless humanity that is herded through the inspection lines!
I now carry enough pairs of throw away socks to change them at every inspection line!

 and, in a plethora of particular ways, control the lives of all American citizens.

You don't really like where you live very much, do you? In all your 17 trips, did you ever find that special place where you would like to settle, or is home really that much better than all them there other places you been? AANND, in all your many travels, have you found anywhere where you would be as free to bellyache as you are here? Thought so.

I don't mean to speak for Smash but I think you're a bit confused. You do realize that one can dislike the policies of the government without being anti-American, right? Or are you part of the apple pie eating, fourth of july firework shooting, nascar watching, overly ready to patronize anyone who dare criticizes the government party? Real Patriots stand up for the people, not for the policies of a corrupt government.

Well that's how I envision most rednecks who see themselves as Patriots by believing everything spewed out of the mouth of the government.

Isn't it supposed to read - entitled to Free healthcare...   :)

Correct, but I'd settle for affordable for all, current systems do not apply to all...

I don't understand such hatred for a president trying to entitle people to get proper health care...What kind of souless beast would deny that for any one.

Your right comrade Baggins...despicable, souless beast.  Better to have a tyrannical govt. put their boot on your neck and force you. >:(

Despite the fact that health care was available to all and cheaper than it is now or will be.

Health care is not available to all or cheap...I lost a house to forecloser do to medical bills of my deceased mother, don't talk to me about there was cheap health care!
