You 'don't care' that a person lost his life?? Aren't you EMT or a firefighter or something like that?? I find *that* disturbing.
jbs, I'm not sure if you're just trying to pick an argument with me or what, but I didn't at all intimate that your opinion was not valid or welcome. You came into this thread with guns ablazin' (no pun intended), and I'm simply responding.
My whole position on this story is that the SYG law is at fault. Everyone knows who killed Martin. If it wasn't for that, Zim would already be in jail, and you agree that he will likely go to jail. Are you saying that all of the people who are outraged at this stupid, redneck law that allows Floridians to kill people as long as they feel justified in claiming personal safety are just 'attention whores'?
I entirely disagree that people want the system to be changed for this one instance. They want it to change because that law is idiotic and obviously dangerous, and it has proven itself as such. The law must be removed, and Zimmerman must be punished for killing an unarmed person.
I think YOU COMPLETELY MISSED MY POINT and ONLY want to argue.
You said you entirely disagree that people don't want to process changed but then turn and argue the whole problem is the law (ie the process).
The LAW is not the problem.... proving Zimmerman acted outside of the law IS.
I couldn't care less about the media hype and the stupidity it actions and emotions it has evoked out of people who are involved and also HIGHLY UNINVOLVED. Once the people like you who are frothing at the mouth would just step back and let the process work AS IT SHOULD and stop letting media influence how you feel about this case, then maybe we can get proper justice for Trayvon... MY ENTIRE POINT is this: If authorities act too quickly against Zimmerman mistakes will be made and he could go completely free, and THAT would be an even bigger catastrophe than the killing itself.
Also read.... I NEVER said I thought he was guilty of murder! NEVER!! I said he probably could be convicted of manslaughter and it sounds to me that the FACTS in this case will produce that result. That is of course if people like you will let FACTS determine the outcome.
Now stop arguing with me just to argue with me, turn off the cable news and go outside and enjoy the day. The media has you all worked into a tizzy.
As far as your assertion that I STARTED THIS: Go back and reflect... I said Zim was probably guilty of manslaughter and that I couldn't care less about the circus the ATTENTION WHORES AND MEDIA have created. I said to let the process work.... YOU LIT THE POWDER KEG.
