I believe that May 15 is the filing deadline for the August Primary.

Have nothing on topic.  Not picking on but it is "who's" running, the contraction who is.

Politically astute as the MT populace is,it would seem,we could come up with the slates before the respective parties do.

Two are given - Zorn/Richardville
Sheriff has two candidates already
Township and County offices - and road commission (if they still are around) are also up this year.

Question is are any "retiring" - as most politicians run automatically until they retire around here.

I have to admit I haven't paid as much attention to the actual wording of the new statute as I should have...

Do you know how long it would take for a county board to do away with their road commission ??? ??? ???

There's been a redistricting of County Commissioner districts so there will be some new faces running.
Troy Goodnuff wants to run for Sheriff but Tillman instituted a policy that prohibits him from running unless he resigns which is more than likely an illegal condition. Tillman won't declare if he is running until Troy decides what he is going to do. Word is that the Sherriff will be at the Clerks office with his paperwork in hand to run and if Troy shows up to file his paperwork then the Sherriff will run again. If Troy doesn't show up to file on time then the Sherriff does not intend to run again.

I always thought Tillman was an excellent sheriff and an honorable man until I witnessed how he treated Troy after he announced his run last election and how he is treating him now. Anyone should have the right to run for elected office without petty interference from the incumbent.

County Commissioner for the Raisinville,London, Milan and I believe Exeter district doesn't have a candidate. With redistricting, Dave Hoffman isn't in his old district anymore.
