Seems like we may have discussed this a couple of years back.  Otherwise I guess I will just have to post under "Miscellaneous"....   but it seems like it would be a lot easier for any would be historians to follow if it's own category ;) ;) ;)

Any "support" from other members would be appreciated ;) ;) ;)

I think this is a great idea.

Hey, is there any way to block the words "leftie" and "rightie" from a board? lol

Seriously, when I first joined the forum waaaayyyyyy back in the day, it was Monroe history that I was interested in and hoping to read more about. A Monroe County History board is long overdue! I'd love to see more old pics and historical accounts, much like Mayo has posted in the past. I still mourn the loss of all that research he posted in the Gallery about 'Who's Who' from Monroe. That was an awesome collection of information. (It was lost when the forum software was upgraded several years ago.)

I agree. A Monroe County History category is something that is long overdue. Even though I'm not a historian but I know other's who are and it would be interesting for some of Monroe's actual historical facts come out, instead of what is on the historical markers.

Thanks Monique for the compliment.
