Looking at this photo, for some reason it just doesn't pass my sniff test. He was silly making cracks about it in fun, but now it's a problem, I think it's been doctored, I don't think he was the agent in the photo.

Any active Secret Service agent that posts job related pictures or has any discussions about their jobs on the web took the wrong career path.

These Secret Service employees are not facing prosecution so the local legality of their action(s) is not germane to this matter.

Most employers have a Code of Ethics/Conduct that govern the behavior of their employees.   The employer's Code of Ethics/Conduct apply to these employees 24/7.  It is a requirement of employment for individuals with these organizations.

Employees that violate this code are seen to compromise the organization and it's mission.  They are subject to discipline and possible termination as a result.   We are witnessing these disciplinary actions with these folks.

I would guess that professions like secret service get into peoples heads and they think they can do anything they want.

The issue is that many countries use prostitutes as spies to garner any information they can from their "clients"...
been going on for centuries - and I'm sure the CIA does it as well.

That was the security issue that caused them to lose their clearances, and compromise their future in that line of work.

Professor, I'd like to think the high ranking officials of orgs like secret service and FBI tell the agents everyday to stay away from undesirables like hookers unless they are on some kind of a sting operation.  The agents should be smart enough to know the consequences of getting caught up somewhere they are not suppose to be.   It kind of makes you wonder.  The must think they are invincible.

I tend to agree in this case, as they probably figured they were in some part of the world where they could get away with it...   makes you wonder how often it occurred with this "team" - as they were likely only used for foreign visits.
