I've always enjoyed playing the game but I just can't get into watching it.

I understand, some soccer leagues are boring and some are incredible to watch. What bores you when you watch?

It just seems so slow. While playing the game you're constantly running and trying to get in position. While watching you're watching others constantly running and trying to get into position. I guess ultimately the lack of scoring and scoring chances.

Gotcha, again that's understandable. I will say that some leagues play a more hard nosed defensive style which leads to low scoring games, and some play a high paced attacking style which leads to great games. The Spanish Premier League is easier to watch because they play that attacking style. The MLS, which is here in the US, is a little sloppy but as a result that leads to 4-2, 3-1, or 2-2 games usually.

I have to be honest I'm not sure I've ever seen an MLS game so I can't comment. I do enjoy the World Cup but I'm just as caught up in the atmosphere as I am the game. The only live events I've seen are high school games but Dearborn Fordson used to have some very good teams. I would consider going to see the Detroit City club just because I like to experience different things.

From time to time Detroit and Columbus host the Mens and Womens U.S. soccer team, those are great to go see. I watched the women play China at Ford Field and more importantly I watched the men play Mexico in Columbus. Now if you want to talk about atmosphere Columbus is the place, especially when Mexico comes to town. The crowd is electric in a mid-february freeze at the first soccer stadium built in the United States.
