WHERE do you interpret that I'm saying I'm better than you?  ? ? ? ? ? ? ?  8*

OK, maybe I can explain myself a little more slowly and clearly.

I think it would be right about there.

How can you explain yourself a little more slowly? Are you one of those people who believe "I'm writing this slowly because I know you aren't a fast reader" kind of person? Or is your intent to say that "Hey, I know your aren't very bright, so I'll explain it so even you can understand"?

Either way, you aren't winning any brownie points.

Every time you open your "mouth" on this forum, you seem to be talking down to people.

Maybe you should work on that, and it would be an idea for improving MT as well. ;)

Oh, a master gardener or something like that...  I would so love to ask a pro questions and hear other people's answers.
Actually, I know of a business that just opened with 3 master gardeners. It's called Busy Lizzies and it just opened on Friday in Grass Lake. I don't think they have time to hang out on the forum, but I'll ask.

(Busy Lizzies is a term for Impatiens.)

Lots of good ideas floating now.   I hope MEN takes notice.   Duck, I really liked and agree with many (maybe even all) of your suggestions!!!   Thanks for getting this going.   Definitely would like to see that Local History section!!

Let's keep this as civil as possible and show an honest interest in promoting our Talks. :-*

We need an area of Monroetalks where users get banned to. These banned users can talk within this area of MT only and other users(with full privileges) can talk in that area as well. It's basically a time-out area.

MEN would have to hire 10 more people to keep track of who goes where.  :-[

The only thing I can fathom that would "work" would be a constant moderator on-board and pre-screening of all posts.    :(

My personal thought on this, able to upload pictures into threads and gallery from your hard-drive instead of first having to upload on Flicker, Photobucket or whatever site used.

I think you can upload to the gallery now, and then get the link and include your picture in a thread. Problem is it fills the gallery with pictures. Up loading to Photobucket means MT doesn't have to store all the pictures, which are Hard Drive hogs.

Perhaps if you did not want the question to be answered, you should not ask it?

I think that there needs to be a guru.

I blogged heavily and participated here because Dan Shaw had a vision for what the place could be.  He had gatherings at his house and went the extra mile to make sure that people felt they were part of something big and exciting.

There are a million internet forums.  People need to be able to follow a vision to connect with one.

Apparently it was only a few people he went that extra mile for. I'm glad we don't have a 'guru' to shepherd the select few. I wasn't a part of those gatherings, and only a couple of people I know were. I'm glad MT was allowed to develop organically rather than according to the plan of one person.

I think the forum is in a very good place right now, and it has absolutely nothing to do with any single person, but everyone who participates.
