My sons are pizza eating enthusiasts, and they claim that Detroit Pizza has the best, but I've never tried it.

Best in Monroe I'd probably agree with, but I've had better. Village Pizzeria in Temperance for one, and a place in Bowling Green.

Oh Collegekid, I like the Village pizza too. AND the workers in there are so nice.
Hmmm  That would be a fun place to meet up some day for a little get together!

On Temperance Road in Temperance, a little out of the way place unless you know to look for it.

I agree with Erie, one day in the next couple of months we should arrange another meet-up down in out neck of the woods, and that would be a good spot.

If you're heading to Temperance on Temperance road from Telegraph it's not too far past the railroad tracks...   the American Legion is on the right with their M-60 Main Battle Tank on display...  keep looking on the right and you'll see the pizza place...  it sets real close to the street and you can't miss it.  If you make it all the way to Lewis Avenue (there's a traffic light plus Monroe Bank & Trust is on the corner) you did go too far ;) ;) ;)

The lady that owns it is in there working and supervising a lot of the time which probably explains why they're so popular.  Our son had his wedding rehearsal dinner there and everything went super!

I can't find a website but did find a Yahoo page with their info:

Can "new" people come, too?   I've been known to crash a party or two ;D

I had an unusual experience at Detroit Beach.  There were mealworms BAKED into our crust.  Their flour must have been no good but I just cannot overlook a dirty dining room and a dirty kitchen.  There is no excuse for that type of product when you are paying $15 for a pizza.  My wife is mad at me because she loves their pasta but I cannot eat in a dirty restaurant. Period!
BTW.... They refunded us for the pizza so no bad business, just a dirty place literally.

Crox is obviously a foodie. I have no cause to suspect his opinion.

I know folks that work in the kitchen at DBP for years.  I have ever heard bad stories about the kitchen.  I know that they paid for and bring home food to their families from DBP.  I think that they would know and avoiding the food if this were true.
