The crop harvest calender for Michigan was interesting. I'm just glad the corn on the cob my wife brought home tonight tasted great. The chart says they're not in-season until August. Bought 'em at Kroger but maybe they're not from Michigan.
Tossed every orange that made it my way out of that batch....but I still tried 'em in case I just got a bad one. Not sure where they all went...but they're gone now.
The strawberries sound good...thanks.
My wife brought home some of that corn on the cob yesterday and we had it for dinner last night. Now it still doesn't compare to Smith's in Erie or the place along the river in Dundee...
but it was probably the best "store bought" corn I've ever had. No idea where it was grown but I'm pretty sure it wasn't in Michigan... I see some field corn that is knee high already though (old tradition was you'd have a good crop of corn if your plants were knee high by the 4th of July)!!!
The worst part of the corn is my blood sugar was still at 138 this morning (should be below 130 in the morning)

I guess that's why they call it "sweet" corn
