BROOKLYN, Mich. (USA TODAY) — More than an hour after taking his first checkered flag in four years and two days, Dale Earnhardt Jr. couldn't escape the throngs of well-wishers at Michigan International Speedway.

Hillbillies turning left isn't a sport.

SEC football players going back and forth in the same 100 yards is not a sport!

Good for Jr!  I was getting worried he was going to have to go find a job if this streak didn't break soon!

Glad to see Juniors win.

I enjoy football and Nascar, but they are entirely different.

I'd say there are more loyal NASCAR fans than SEC fans
I'd also say that many NASCAR fans are also college football fans

The idea is to pick a driver and root for them - similar to picking a team in football  ;D
(I can see why BM doesn't get it as he is opposed to picking a team)

NASCAR is a family fun sport as opposed to one that lends to the pushing the envelope by taking criminals and sneaky payoffs to get the best.  (At least for some conferences that think winning at any costs is the way to go)

For instance a bad Nascar driver - gets suspended for things like language, equipment tweeking, or other things that bring detriment or unfair advantage to the sport.
They banned a driver a few years back for using stimulants.
Swift justice to keep the sport clean and family friendly.

SEC allows players to use drugs (lax drug policies) and have crimes - and still participate and play - so is there any wonder when things happen like 3 players from its 2010 championship team recently convicted and soon to be sentenced to prison.

But we have to pass the bill so you can find out what is in it, away from the fog of the controversy.
