This is just frightening to me.....

Quote
Public education and even modern science are relatively new developments in human history. So it makes sense that it would have taken the populace a while to catch up to understanding that evolution did happen, and that angels probably aren’t real.

But recent polling data suggests that gradual acceptance of the facts may not be the trend when it comes to the theory of evolution. In the 30 years since Gallup started asking people whether they believe humans evolved, evolved under the guidance of God, or were created fully formed by God, the percentage of people adhering to the creationist view has actually gone up slightly over time, and now stands at 46 percent of the population. This is just the tip of the iceberg of a growing problem of public rejection of science.

Well I don't believe in science, I know science is real.  I see the laws of science working every day.  It does take faith for me to believe in The Mother though.

So of the three choices:

1) Evolution
2) Guided Evolution by a god
3) Creationism

And considering the fact that the vast majority of the world's population believes in a god, especially one that has some sort of input on their creation (christianity & islam, the 2 most popular in the world), it would only stand to reason that the majority of people would choose a combination of 2 & 3.

Your article is very misleading.

Yes, but this story is about the actual rejection of any kind of evolution and belief in total creationism.  This includes both young earth creationists and old earth creationists.  It's saying that a smaller number pf peolle dont believe in evolution regardless of whether or not it was guided by a spiritual entity.

I don't think anyone on the forum has rejected all evidence of evolution or adaption. The whole idea of an invention that powers itself into infinity rings of intelligent design to me.

The story might be about that, but the poll cited certainly is not.

Show me a poll of total creationism vs total evolution for this article.

Again, very misleading, and actually incorrect based on the type of poll.
