There are some awesome looking fields of field corn this year...

so I'm thinking we should have some equally awesome sweet corn too...

my wife has brought some home from Kroger a few times and it's ranged from pretty darned good to awesome!!!   The one night it was approaching some of our local grown stuff, but not quite there yet!!!

My two favorites are Smith Brother's in Erie and (sorry, don't recall the name right now) on Lloyd Road which turns into Toledo Street in Dundee.  I've driven by both this week hoping to see some activity but nothing yet ;) ;) ;)

My brother-in law told me the same thing about the sweet corn at Kroger. He's a 100% local grown corn lover from Marysville.

Randy's in Bedford on Lewis has some pretty good corn right now....they said it's coming in from Carleton.....corn is my favorite time of year :)
