McDonalds Mango Pineapple smoothie
« on: June 30, 2012, 08:26:56 PM »

Okay, I tried one of these once and became horribly addicted. I finally devised a solution to this problem by making them at home. The recipe is simple.

One bag frozen Dole pineapple
one cup vanilla yogurt
3 cups Juicy Juice Mango flavor
(I used the empty vanilla yogurt cup as a measuring device, saves on clean up)

One blender

Combine all ingredients in blender, set to liquify. Blend until smooth.

Pour into 2 large 20 oz tumblers.

Enjoy!

I am not a huge fan of Mango, but I love pineapple and yogurt so I will give this a try  :)
My question:  What size yogurt cup?  I only ask because I have purchased every size from 4 oz. to 32 oz. so I would like to make it the right way  :)
Thanks  :)

I also started making coffee frappe's at home too.  After I payed 4 bucks for a small one at the coffee shop I figured out how to make my own , (most of the time I dont measure though). Its so easy!!!

I take 2 Tablespoons of Tasters Choice Instant French Roast coffee ( I like mine witha strong coffee flavor & I like this the best ) so u might want to ajust that 2 taste) . Desolve that in a tall glass with a littl hot water .

Then I put ice , 2% milk , & a little sugar in a blender pour in the coffee mixture & blend .

Its so good Ive been making them everyday , SOOOOOOOOOO Yummy  8* ;D

Ps -Sometimes I add a little chocolate syrup and it comes out with a mocha flavor . :)

Taking his post at face value...he said one cup of yogurt.

1 US cup = 8 US fluid ounces

The standard 6 oz cup single serving. I don't believe yogurt comes in an 8 oz cup anymore. If it does, I have yet to find it. Most have went to 4 oz and declared them to have 1/3 less calories, (because there is only 2/3's of what the others have :P)

Sorry for the confusion.

Oh, and you can use any kind of frozen fruit and juice combo. Even try a different flavor yogurt. But that's as close as I have found to the McDonalds blend so far.

And I've tried (and drank) many to find the right combo.

The frozen mango and pineapple juice didn't quite cut it, but wasn't bad.

I passed on another recipe to a friend of mine who has cancer. Evidently extremely brown bananas have an enzyme in them that helps fight cancer. She couldn't handle eating the bananas as is, as they are really soft and mushy. (Yuck). But she has been drinking her nanners now that she has found out about the smoothies. :D

I <3 this thread.

YUM! I'll be making both cold beverages soon. Gonna get some decaf instant coffee, tho. Since it's been warm, I've been drinking iced coffee like mad, and the buzz is outrageous! lol Need to back it down a little bit....
