What is there to say about this...

Quote
Christian Identity Ministries is holding a three-day conference for so-called "white Christians" who contend they have been treated unfairly, the Rev. Mel Lewis told local TV station WSFA. Lewis, the organizer and keynote speaker, says they have the right, like any other Americans, to worship how they wish.

Ku Klux Klan flags and white supremacy slogans surround the conference, which will conclude with a cross being set on fire Friday night. Organizers say it's not a cross-burning, but rather sacred Christian cross lighting.

"We are not breaking any laws. We're not violating any ordinances. We're bringing the Word of God to people who want it, obviously, or they wouldn't be here," Lewis told the TV station.

Lewis said of the conference-goers: "They are part of the chosen race."

The mayor of nearby Winfield said residents are upset, and the event does not represent their town in any way.

"Business people are upset. The city is upset. The city of Winfield does not condone this," Winfield Mayor Wayne Silas told another local TV station, WECT.

"It's surprising to see something like that in our town," said Tyler Cantrell. "I know it's been here in the past."

Organizers say their ministry is not a hate group and that although there is a strong KKK presence, the Klan did not sponsor the event.

CNN host Piers Morgan invited Saddleback Church Pastor Rick Warren on his program to discuss gay marriage and the bible. Fresh off his feud with Second Amendment rights activists following his full-throated defense of stricter gun control laws in the wake of the Newtown massacre, Morgan inspired further outrage among the religious when he told the pastor he thought it was time for an "amendment to the bible." In Morgan's opinion, the bible, like the American Constitution, is "inherently flawed."*

Piers Morgan asked Pastor Rick Warren if it was time for an amendment to the Bible, as it is flawed and not applicable in many modern issues. Is that too far? Would "amending" a Bible really mean anything?

Time for a Bible Amendment?

Cross-Dressing Priest Arrested For Dealing Meth

Cuss warning:

Cross-Dressing Priest Arrested For Dealing Meth

"A prominent and respected Connecticut priest has been indicted along with four other men in an alleged plot to sell crystal meth.

Monsignor Kevin Wallin and another suspect, Kenneth "Lyme" Devries, were arrested Jan. 3, after law enforcement discovered evidence of meth, drug paraphernalia and drug packaging materials at Wallin's home, reports the San Clemente Times."*

Monseigneur Kevin Wallin may win an award for hypocrisy. The priest, who owns a sex shop and was caught breaking his vow of celibacy, was caught for selling crystal meth, among even more activities priests aren't supposed to do.

Piers Morgan is an idiot.

God warns us not to change his word.

Believe it, don't believe it - that is up to you.  Change it....  now you are spreading your lies to others.

"After a vicious tornado ripped through her Moore, Okla. home on Tuesday, Rebecca Vitsmun was lucky to be alive. After graciously handling an awkward moment while discussing the aftermath on national television, more good fortune is headed her way.

In a Tuesday interview with CNN's Wolf Blitzer, Vitsmun was asked if she was thanking "the Lord" for deciding to escape home with her 19-month-old son. She hesitated for a moment, before telling Blitzer that she was actually an atheist.

"You are. All right. But you made the right call," Blitzer said, prompting Vitsmun to add: "We are here, and I don't blame anyone for thanking the Lord."

An Indiegogo community called Atheists Unite has responded resoundingly in support of Vitsmun's poise."

Atheists Can Now Go To Heaven

The new Pope Francis has declared that Atheists can make it into Heaven.

Pope Francis rocked some religious and atheist minds today when he declared that everyone was redeemed through Jesus, including atheists.

During his homily at Wednesday Mass in Rome, Francis emphasized the importance of "doing good" as a principle that unites all humanity, and a "culture of encounter" to support peace.

Using scripture from the Gospel of Mark, Francis explained how upset Jesus' disciples were that someone outside their group was doing good, according to a report from Vatican Radio.

If you're a Christian American who discriminates, you suck at being Christian...and American

If you're the kind of American Christian who gets off on putting down poor people as lazy, you're like a Pharisee telling Jesus that the Romans were the job creators. Fundamentalist Christians believe Jesus wants us to help the poor by killing any program that could help the poor. These people never complained about their tax dollars bailing out Wall Street crooks, massive subsidies to oil companies or an unconstitutional billion dollar a week invasion and occupation of Iraq.

It seems to me that I was against bailing out Wall Street, the Car Companies, and the Crony Capitalism that was practiced with alternative energy, battery, solar panel, etc etc etc companies.

I wanted the market to correct itself and get stronger.  Obama - a Democrat - didn't let that happen.

Seems to me you are making a generalization with your assertion.

As for Iraq - it is too bad that Obama didn't finish the job.

Hmmm...considering the long list of lies you've been telling since you started "talking"...I'm sure "someone" will believe you're telling the truth on this one.  8*

Wow.  Sounds like another unfounded accusation.

Did you think of it yourself - or did you see it on the Rachel Maddow Show?

Cuss warning:

Science Vs Religion: Which Makes You Moral?

"Simply being primed with science-related thoughts increased a) adherence to moral norms, b) real-life future altruistic intentions, and c) altruistic behavior towards an anonymous other. The conceptual association between science and morality appears strong.

Though this finding replicates across different measures and methods, there's one variable that might limit the generalizability of the effect. There is some evidence suggesting that attitudes towards science vary across political parties with conservatives having become decreasingly trustworthy of science over the past several decades."
