No evidence Trayvon Martin's killer is racist: FBI interviews

(Reuters) - FBI interviews with dozens of friends, coworkers and neighbors of George Zimmerman found no evidence that the accused murderer of Florida teenager Trayvon Martin was a racist, according to new documents released on Thursday.

After George Zimmerman called his killing Trayvon Martin part of “God’s plan,’’ Martin’s parents spoke out Thursday.

“I really think that’s ridiculous,’’ Martin’s mother, Sybrina Fulton, told TODAY’s Matt Lauer. “I wish Trayvon was here to tell his side of the story. I don’t believe that it’s God’s plan for him to kill an innocent teenager.’’

“He had no regards for Trayvon’s life, and he don’t regret taking Trayvon’s life,’’ Trayvon’s father, Tracy Martin, told Lauer. “Had George Zimmerman stayed in his vehicle, Trayvon would be with us here today.’’

The prosecutor in the George Zimmerman trial released more witness testimony on Monday, July 16, in which a cousin of Zimmerman claims he molested her over a ten year period when they were children. Zimmerman is accused of second-degree murder in the February shooting death of Trayvon Martin, an unarmed black teenager who was walking in Zimmerman’s neighborhood.
 
According to the witness, Zimmerman allegedly groped and fondled her, starting when they were 8 and 6, respectively, on family visits. The incidents continued until she was 16.

Now we wait for the reciprocal discovery of the cousin (Witness #9) to be released to the public.   I don't think that this Prosecuting Attorney has done this woman any favors by releasing this information to the public.
