But we have to pass the bill so you can find out what is in it, away from the fog of the controversy.

I was in a "head on" a little over 32 years ago (wife was pregnant for daughter #1 so I can date it pretty easy)...   it was actually Oct 31 of 1979...   I remember it was Halloween night...   we were returning from a rescue call of a child choking on candy!!!

My truck only had a lap belt at that time...  but it was fastened and I walked away with just a sore knee...   I moved forward far enough to literally rip the trailer brake control box out from under the dash...   everything in a truck was metal back then...  and I had installed the brake control with #12 sheet metal screws...

Oldest daughter was in a head on (well sort of)...  she hit a car on the freeway that had done a 180 and was sitting in her lane when she came around one of the blind curves on 75 in downtown Toledo (where they have the solid white lines)...   she hit it hard enough for her air bag to deploy...  she had on her seat belt and of course by then we had shoulder belts too...   she walked away too...  always wonder what would have happened both times if we hadn't taken time to buckle up ??? ??? ???

Sounds like they were headin' north out of Toledo's reasonably smooth streets and onto Monroe County's typically pothole plagued roadways...

Our son lives near there and we drive it a couple of times a week on average...   while not as bad as Rauch road it's not a long way behind...   I can imagine if someone wasn't expecting the road to change it would be a real 'wake up' call...

or in this case 'roll over' call ;) ;) ;)

Looking north from Toledo into Erie Township...

the sign says "Erie Township"...

maybe it should say "Welcome to Potholeway" ;) ;) ;)
