Political Signs
« on: July 17, 2012, 12:09:56 PM »

There is another thread about Malone’s signs and it got me to thinking.  Since there are no polls and little “press” for local elections, it seems that, historically, the person with the most signs tends to win.  Based on the number of signs, I would have to say the current leaders are:

Sheriff:
1.   Malone
2.   Harrington
3.   Redmond

Probate Judge:
1.   LaVoy
2.   Arnold
3.   Matiash
4.   Brescol

Circuit Judge:
1.   White
2.   Calkins
3.   Sweeney
4.   Benore

Anyone else see it any differently?

I've been up and down the east half of the county from the state line to the county line in the last few days and that looks pretty close...

I wonder if Redmond is showing stronger in the west half of the county though?

I went through Dundee yesterday and did notice a few more Redmond signs out that way.  Matiash seems to have more signs West of the City, too.  I haven't been in the Temperance area, but would guess Brescol should have more support there since he is from Bedford.

I don't really see many for the Circuit Judge races which is rather Odd.

Apparently the probate position must be better or pay more???

Either way its a job for life in Monroe once you're in - based on past practices of not being challenged.
