DETROIT (USA TODAY) — A 9-year-old boy leaped or fell to his death from a bedroom of his family's ninth-floor apartment unit Wednesday, Detroit police said.
 
After the fall, no paramedics arrived on the scene and the boy was transported to the hospital in a police car. A state lawmaker is blaming city budget cuts for the lack of EMS response.
 
According to police, the youth had threatened to commit suicide several times recently. The incident occurred about 5:30 p.m. at a low-income housing complex, about one-half mile west of Henry Ford Hospital.

According to a report from WXYT, they reported that boy fell 9 stories.  2 sentences later they said ppolice had no idea how far the bot fell.  WTF???  Doesn't anyone proofread anything before posted?

The Detroit news article i just read said the kid had already threatened suicide at least once before and that this particular "fall" is being classified as a suicide.  Now wtf kind of world have we created when single-digit-year-old kids are offing themselves??  For your own and your children's sakes people throw your damn TVs away, for starters...

The city of Detroit is a sorry arse mess because of the politicians the residents kept reelecting.  Detroit still has 10 times the employees of all citys it's size.  It was worse before and that is one of the reasons they have no money.  What they collect is paying pensions for the thousands of retired city employees that they didn't need in the first place.
