NO ONE CARES!  OR WATCHES!

http://www.al.com/sports/index.ssf/2012/01/alabama-lsu_produces_lowest_tv.html

The third least viewed Championship game in the BCS era... awesome job SEC!

In fact according to the article the BCS title game ran the risk of being the LEAST VIEWED of all the BCS games last season until some late reporting came in.

Note now the three lowest title games have all featured a team that failed to win its conference.

SO sorry BM, I have to think that using TV ratings as the barometer (and lets face it TV ratings = $$$$ and $$$$ is what the BCS is ALL ABOUT) we are simply not going to see another SEC vs SEC match up for the National Title again, no matter how much you whine for it, or how good you think your teams are.

No one was impressed by Field Goal Bowl and the rematch was a resounding dud.  Way to ruin college football SEC!

Oddly I thought the game was about having the BEST TEAMS, which the SEC has.

The "best teams" win their conferences.  No telling who the best team was in FBS last year since three teams finished with the same record, and the two who won their conferences didn't finish first.  Alambama was "voted" the best, but they lost to the #2 team and #3 never got a shot.

That answers a lot - "you thought..."

Chearleaders aren't known for their thinking powers  ;D

The results of the fiasco field goal then dud bowl from the SEC round robin, created the fever for the limited playoff with greater emphasis on conference championships.

Conference 3rd place finishers probably won't be allowed in future ficticious championship scenarios!
