This IS a civil rights issue.

You do realize, I hope, that a "civil right" is one created out of thin air with the stroke of a pen, and is just as easily revoked.  Do you not?  Rights are inherent, in perpetuity, cannot be taken or given away; "civil rights" are granted by whomever is lording over you at that particular moment and is revocable without notice.  The latter is far less desirable than the former, except for atheistic statists...

Can I throw some gasoline on this fire?

Who is all for our nation's aggressive departure from "the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God,"?  Please cite why!

Who wants to run our well documented founding moral underpinnings through a shredder?  Please cite why!

God instituted marriage when he made them male and female, and instructed them to be fruitful and multiply - please prove otherwise!

Tell me WHY it's so "controversial", or "offensive" for one to say they AGREE, they have REVERENCE for; these words, under their first amendment privelage:

Romans 1:26 "For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

[27] And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

[28] And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

[29]Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

[30] Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

[31] Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

[32] Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

Leviticus 18:22 says "...it is abomination" -

says who? -

says the Creator so named in our Declaration of Independence

Is that the same guy gay rights/gay marriage supporters/politicians likewise reference when they say "May God Bless the United States of America"?

How about you guys leave JOB-CREATORS alone ...  oh, that's right; you're the "professionally unemployed" who have tons of time to "protest" the personal belief systems of others!

Controversy????   What a joke!

OK, if it's easier for you to understand, how about calling them "human rights"...???

No, it's about recognizing those rights and making sure others don't infringe upon them...They still have to be declared and understood for them to have any reasonable strength...The pen IS mightier than the sword, as they say...
