Unless Jan Jay really surprises me it looks like Dale Malone will be the next sheriff of Monroe County:

Has anyone seen any articles yet that mention how many actually voted in the election yesterday?

Just looking over the votes for the non partisan candidates (I realize some people didn't vote for these) it looks like maybe around 20,000 voters for the county.  I hope I'm wrong on that :-\ :-\ :-\

It appears that some of the races were skewed with people feeling the need to vote for Sheriff, as I did.   There were no Republicans in trouble where I reside so I opted to cross to vote on that D side.

The single party primary system isn't really representative of our Democracy.

I can't seem to find how the tax issues panned out on that webpage.  Anyone know the results?

I am sure I recently read where Michigan, and possibly one or two more States do this.

Personally, I think it sucks and could be one of the reasons we have such a low voter turnout in the primaries.
