First I haven't seen a bill, so not sure where the numbers for this pretty graph came from, so hard to say how valid this propaganda piece is.

What is NOT propaganda is that many of us that have paid into Social Security and Medicare may not be able to collect on it.  That is what the CBO says anyway.  Kind of like an underfunded pension plan the numbers on that pyramid scheme just isn't working - especially since a large part of the country can't find a job so they quit looking so they aren't paying into the system anymore.

I guess you really can't trust the CBO though....  they are just the Congressional Budget Office after all.

The definition of insanity is to do the same thing over and over again and expect different results.

There are not enough Billionaires and Millionaires to tax at 70% to rescue this system.  I guess they will resort to Obama's and Ben Bernanke's current plan of monetizing the debt.  I am sure THAT won't have any repercussions.

What are you blabbering about? Guess you're just desperate to change the subject. I'll help you for a moment....but unfortunately for you, it's still about the subject of this thread...Mitt:

Down girl!    Nobody is as infatuated with you as YOU.

It's ok that you love me so much. It's happened to the best of 'em! I'd love you back, but you make it so difficult....

And, I can't help it if, as I see people poking around somebody's real name that there you were right in the middle of it.  That's all YOU, not me.

That's not what was happening, not at all. That's what YOU came in and made it out to be.

But I seem to remember something involving some posters up in arms because somebody's name or something was posted and the world came to a screeching halt.  Let's see who at the center of that one too . . . . ?  Oh yeah.

This is proving that it's an ugly business and it stays ugly.

So maybe you should just let the ugly go.

Or maybe YOU should let it go. You seem to pounce like a greedy old cat on any--ANY--opportunity to bring up something that happened five years ago. You were right in the middle of it then, and you still love to talk about it now. Who's the boss of 'ugly business'? You own it, girl!

JMO of course.  :)  Of course!
It's obvious to everyone that you love to "play" with me, and that I'm your favorite. Maybe it's for your own kicks and giggles, or maybe you think it really does stoke the passions of the menfolk, I dunno. Just keep it nice and don't drag me down into the mud (not Puddin'--that's fun!) with you, please.

The Puddin' Pit is only about half drained as I look out there now.

I could stop the pump any time.   ;D

I'm all for spending cuts.

The defense budget seems like a good place to start.

Obama hits Romney on 47% while Republicans flee

On the fourth day of Mitt Romney's 47% comment controversy, Republicans continued to distance themselves from Romney, while President Obama stayed on the offensive. The Huffington Post's Howard Fineman joins Ed Schultz to analyze the damage done to the Romney campaign.

Debunking Romney's attack on Americans who don't pay income taxes
Most people who 'pay no income tax' are working or have worked in the past, including seniors living on Social Security and Medicare benefits they paid for during their working lives.

Time for an Intervention

What should Mitt Romney do now? He should peer deep into the abyss. He should look straight into the heart of darkness where lies a Republican defeat in a year the Republican presidential candidate almost couldn’t lose. He should imagine what it will mean for the country, for a great political philosophy, conservatism, for his party and, last, for himself. He must look down unblinkingly.

And then he needs to snap out of it, and move.

He has got seven weeks. He’s just had two big flubs. On the Mideast he seemed like a political opportunist, not big and wise but small and tiny. It mattered because the crisis was one of those moments when people look at you and imagine you as president.
