Obama's DOJ prosecution of Kwame Kilpatrick for running a criminal enterprise could listed be one of the president's top accomplishments.
I'll support that one on the list if they "win"...

Starts Monday Morning...   curious how long the lines are to get in and if you can take in your own popcorn  ;D

Really?  Isn't enforcing laws kind of a minimum cost of entry in that job?

Nope - not anymore,
It's Holder/Obama's job to decide which ones to enforce and which to ignore...
Can you say executive order/ ignore immigration laws anyone?

Kwame thought he was above the law and a professional politician sometimes forgets things like laws, and how they actually apply...

Sorry.  I just haven't lowered my expectations down that far for that office.

I still include upholding the laws and constitutions as a base requirement for the job - not as an accomplishment.

Selective enforcement isn't exactly new to the office either, but I do think this administration has been a little more blatant about announcing which laws they don't intend to enforce.

Quote
Internal Revenue Service agent Ron Sauer said the government traced $531,000 in cash transactions from 2001, when Kilpatrick was elected mayor, through 2008. The transactions included deposits, payments on his credit card and cashier's checks, and compared starkly to the few if any cash transactions made at banks before he became mayor.

On cross-examination, defense attorney James Thomas suggested the cash could have been gifts or simply transferred to banks after Kilpatrick had saved it under his bed or in shoes.

Humm......his annual salary as mayor was $172K (Rich/Wealthy, should be paying higher taxes anyway).

$531,000 over 7 years is about 76 grand per year.

I suppose the defense could say he was a good "safer" and put half his salary after taxes in shoe boxes, and made some high yielding traceable investments.   8*

I can hear Johnny Cash wailing the tune now......."I hear the train a comin', it's rollin' round the bend, and I ain't seen the sunshine since a I don't know when."

And Kwame.....my Johnny salute to you:

Federal Prisons aren't quite as tough as State ones...  but they get 4 years - serve 4 years  no time off for sitting there being good.
