Yea, I'd love to see a third party gain strength......our two party system outright sucks right now and I wonder if a third party introduction would throw it into more gridlock or not.  It would probably be the first common mission from both current parties in power......suppress and make the newcomer their anal sex slaves.

You're probably right, hell the system now strives for conflict and a new player would just mean more excuses to block, even if the ideas would work and are sound...Our American politicians are acting like spoiled children who always get their way and it's far past due for a spanking!

I'm just done with both Democrats and Republicans, I can't vote for either of the jokers on hand and both party sliders have lost their collective minds as far as I'm concerned... :-\

I've decided since Obama will win Michigan easily without my vote, that I am voting third party again... Jill Stein is probably going to get my vote.

The Green New Deal is an emergency four part program of specific solutions for moving America quickly out of crisis into the secure green future.

She clearly speaks of "emergencies" that exist and I assume she would use the dictatorial powers of the Executive Branch under the War and Emergency Powers Act to carry out her New Green Deal stuff.

Right? Or,no?

If not what mechanism would she use to forward this Green Agenda?
The Congress?
Good luck with that. They can't even pass a budget now!

If she does choose to use the only mechanism in the powers of the Executive Branch today then we will just be continuing the on going usurpation of the Constitution that is used today.

Correct? or, no?

We call these solutions a Green “New Deal” because they are inspired by the New Deal programs that helped us out of the Great Depression of the 1930s. And these solutions are “Green” because they create an economy that makes our communities sustainable and healthy.

She has the audacity to invoke the "programs" of the 30's like they were some magic bullet that "fixed" the economy.

BS!

All they did was make a Depression a really GREAT ONE and centralize even more authority in the Federal Government.
What she leaves out is the fact that many Corporations and individuals did very well in the peak of the Depression thanks to free market CAPITALISM that did an end run around the efforts of the government to strangle the economy.

Cheap and easy money inflated the bubble of the late twenties and when it popped and the interest rates went up minimal percentage points it wiped people out by the thousands. That is EXACTLY what the Fed is doing today with QE1, and 2, and now 3.

First, we will guarantee the economic rights of all Americans, beginning with the right to a job at a living wage for every American willing and able to work.

The Economic Rights of All Americans is enumerated where in the U.S. Constitution?

Second, we will transition to a sustainable, green economy for the 21st century, by adopting green technologies and sustainable production.

As dictated by whom? The U.N. through Agenda 21?
If she can't get Congress to do it will she attempt to ratify Agenda 21 by doing an end run around the Congress?

“Land… cannot be treated as an ordinary asset, controlled by individuals and subject to the pressures and inefficiencies of the market. Private land ownership is also a principal instrument of accumulation and concentration of wealth and therefore contributes to social injustice…”

Not only was this 30 years prior to the global warming hysteria, but at that time, scientists were asserting that the climate was cooling. Also recall that Agenda 21, which calls for what Al Gore has since termed a “wrenching transformation” of America, was unveiled in 1992, and incorporated into American governmental machinery in 1993, via Clinton’s President’s Council on Sustainability.  This radical agenda was adopted in America a full 13 years before the UN’s IPCC released its famous (or infamous, depending on one’s perspective) study claiming to prove the existence of catastrophic manmade global warming. In other words, the “Sustainability” agenda, which calls for governmental and, by extension, international control of land, natural resources, food, water, energy, cars, housing and more, in America, was drawn up many years before global warming hit the decks as a rationale for the program. The cart came before the horse.  And now we are asked to believe that the already debunked and always highly controversial hypothesis of catastrophic anthropogenic global warming is reason enough for us to sacrifice our homes, our lands, our property, our rights, our way of life, and our country.
We are NOT adopting Green technologies now; They are being rammed down our throats through "regulations" by the EPA, and the Energy Dept. AGAIN in violation of the Constitution.

Third, we will reboot and reprogram the financial sector so that it serves everyday people and our communities, and not the other way around.

So we will just go all out Communist Central Planning?
We will not have Banks, just Workers Credit Unions?
Holy crap the Fed is bad enough and now you would give ALL the authority to????

Fourth, we will protect these gains by expanding and strengthening our democracy so that our government and our economy finally serve We the People.

According to the U.S. Constitution this is supposed to be a REPUBLIC.
While I do realize the Republic was killed in 1913 with the passage of the 17th Amendment it is not very often a political Party will admit it. The R's And D's put lip service to the Republic but they lie so much it's hard to keep track!

Obama wants to give you all of this POOP but he is beholden to the Federal Reserve and so would Stein!

Man, this is FUN!!!

The fun for you is twisting it to fit your stance...None of what you're tempting people to fear is close to the truth...But, it's pointless to even try to point out why you're wrong.

It's different, and because of that you need to fear it, because you've been told to do so...You're doing a fine job of OBEYING there smash... 8*

I am twisting nothing.
I copied and pasted direct statements from the text you provided.
I asked direct questions related to those statements.

Why is it pointless to point out where I am wrong?
I don't see anyone else asking any questions and I don't see you making any attempt to support your chosen Candidate.

To the contrary there is nothing new in this Green Agenda at all.
As I pointed out in my last post, Agenda 21 has been around for quite some time. It has some highly positioned players working on it's implementation from both of the Establishment Parties, from past to the current President and their administrations.

If you are not familiar with National "emergencies" I would encourage you to read this report from Congress.
______________________________________________________________
93d Congress
SENATE
Report No. 93-549
1st Session
EMERGENCY POWERS STATUTES:

PROVISIONS OF FEDERAL LAW NOW IN EFFECT DELEGATING TO THE EXECUTIVE EXTRAORDINARY AUTHORITY IN TIME OF NATIONAL EMERGENCY REPORT OF THE SPECIAL COMMITTEE ON THE TERMINATION OF THE NATIONAL EMERGENCY UNITED STATES SENATE NOVEMBER 19, 1973

Since March 9, 1933, the United States has been in a state of declared national emergency.
These proclamations give force to 470 provisions of Federal law. These hundreds of statutes delegate to the President extraordinary powers, ordinarily exercised by the Congress, which affect the lives of American citizens in a host of all-encompassing manners. This vast range of powers, taken together, confer enough authority to rule the country without reference to normal Constitutional processes.

Under the powers delegated by these statutes, the President may: seize property; organize and control the means of production; seize commodities; assign military forces abroad; institute martial law; seize and control all transportation and communication; regulate the operation of private enterprise; restrict travel; and, in a plethora of particular ways, control the lives of all American citizens.

______________________________________________________________

While several of the "Emergencies" that were in effect at the time have been terminated, language was left in that would allow the Executive Branch to maintain all authority given to it previously.

Were you aware the "War on Poverty" (LBJ), the "War on Drugs" (1914 to Nixon, to the present day) have been prosecuted by the Executive Branch and laws were created by Executive Order under those "authorities" given to it by the War and Emergency Powers Act in contravention of the normal processes granted to the Congress in the U.S. Constitution?

That is why I asked HOW the Green Party would institute it's agenda.

I don't need to trade one dictator for another!

Don't bother PAX.
I'm still waiting for responses from Baggins, Forsythia, and Monique.

Responses to direct questions to specific texts that they post are not their forte, and they can't be bothered with it.
