That's a pretty steep drive/hill to climb...

also my usual party store...  Hope it wasn't too bad!

Yea, my usual spot too.  I'm out of town, any pics of the damage?

The Monroe Evening News can't cover such a momentous event?

What the heck DO they cover anymore?

I didn't get a chance to get by and see if there was any major damage.  It sounded like maybe the cause was a medical issue with the driver.

I just checked their website and didn't see anything.  In fairness to them, the incident at Partyville would have been too late to get in the print edition anyway.  Maybe today 8* 8* 8* (where's that smiley face whistling while we wait)

I just got back to town, and of course it is dark but I stopped in there tonight and didn't see the damage.

I drove by there yesterday and didn't see anything either.

Today I heard a call out in Raisinville...

the FedEx driver had called in and asked central to send a rescue "just to check him over"...

he hadn't had his seat belt on and he'd been tossed around a little...

when LMR got there they said the FedEx truck was on it's side and down in the ditch!!!

So...  if you live out that way and were expecting a delivery today you might be waiting until tomorrow :o :o :o

I stopped up there the following day and talked with the owner.  He said an older woman had a stroke while pulling up to the front.  The car jumped the parking spot block and barely ran into the building....it only crushed a section of the downspout gutter.

About 3 am this morning the bad guys drove a truck into the front of the Marathon Station on S. Dixie and then tried to yank the ATM out the hole :o :o :o

Shouldn't be too hard to find a smashed up SUV...

especially with a pair of rocket scientists driving it around  ;D

Here's some of the surveillance video from inside the store.  By the way, the young lady reporter from 13 ABC Toledo is from the Monroe area ;) ;) ;)

We drove by there last night and saw they were open (literally wide open) although there was a Belfor (or someone similar) there and they were working on boarding up the front.

Actually, the link below will take you to an article on the new Indian Motorcycle Shop in Maumee...   below that will be a link to go to the Marathon Smash and FAIL!!!

Actually I didn't hear this one but it's worth posting on the long shot that someone will recognize the perp...

It looks to me like they had a real good idea of where they were going and what they were looking for.

I hope they didn't steal the anchovies :o :o :o

One of the west county fire departments was just dispatched to an 'unknown object' on fire in the roadway...   and then a few minutes later the dispatcher advised them that this was in the same area where they had a report of a large pothole earlier...   and that when an officer responded the officer threw a flare in the pothole and left :-\ :-\ :-\
