They either have it or they don't...   it's called Haz Mat full protective suits

The City used to have a trailer for haz mat but I'm sure that all was given away in the fire sale when they transitioned away from fire services to save the police staffing...   I see some CERT team ended up with their ALS transport units

As a side - you are more apt to have a HAZ MAT incident than Ebola, so the training isn't for naught...  and now all the first responders need to do if they have one is call for the hospitals team  ;)

But in reality you just hope that Toledo or Western Wayne County will be able and willing to assist... Monroe County has no Haz Mat team

in the middle of the Carrington Golf Course...

Turned out to be a controlled burn of a brush pile behind the maintenance building.

Sounds like they picked the perfect day to burn it...

they just neglected to get a burning permit :o :o :o

I have seen all over Facebook, of two men hiding out in the woman's bathroom, at Meijer. It happened last Friday around 7:00-7:30 p.m.

Does anyone remember hearing anything on the scanners about this??

Sorry NewDawn but I didn't hear anything on it.  That is definitely one I would have posted if I'd heard anything.

I heard this rescue dispatched this afternoon abut 2:45.

The original dispatch said a city police car had rolled over on I-75 at Front St.  Then as units were responding central dispatch said the car was on Front St. under the freeway.

Looking at the photo it doesn't look like there was a rollover involved...

just a bridge abutment that jumped out in front of a patrol car :o :o :o

I figured it was just a matter of time before one of those regular Firefighters would wreck a police squad car.

As I stated on another thread, in this case I know the officer and Josh is a straight up guy.  I've known Josh for years.

I've known him and agree he is a great guy as well,
and as long as he wasn't hurt...
I may have a little fun with this  ;)

Well okay just this once  ;D

I think one of the first test you need to drive a Fire Truck is -
can you drive under a bridge,
He must have been studying the book while driving, eating a donut, and txting - all while holding a cup of hot McDonalds coffee between his knees...

And I'm sure the report will include - a (dog/deer/rabbit/cat) ran out in front of me  ;D

Again glad he wasn't injured seriously!  I'm sure he will get lots more ribbing
