My wife made the first one about a week ago 'per the recipe' and it turned out fantastic... we shared half of it with some friends with an 8 yr old daughter and per the Dad "she loooooved it"...
I don't know if that's a good enough endorsement or not

Then just a couple of days ago she 'revised' the recipe and just put on apple slices and a few strawberries. It wasn't quite as good (compared to the first one) but was still pretty darned good in my opinion... we dropped some off for the 8 yr old but haven't heard the official 'word' on it yet!
The 2nd one the pizza dough raised (or is that rised) up more which seemed fine but it wasn't quite as juicy...
yes, I like mine juicy

We're thinking it needed different apples... don't remember now what she used but they were not baking pie apples which is what she will use the next time... or maybe it just needed a few more of them... and she forgot to put the frosting on (I think she did that just so I wouldn't get as much sugar but I can't prove it).
Anyway... give it a try. She did say she was surprised to find the yeast for the pizza dough at the Kroger store on Monroe street so I know they did have some!
I've got some pictures I'll have to upload to photo bucket and then post later.
I'll put it this way... if your grandson doesn't like this, I'll come over and pick it up and I'll personally dispose of it for him
