I mentioned this in the 'signs of spring' thread yesterday...

Lots and lots of ticks out there already this year...

Check your dogs...  and your cats but they aren't as susceptible...  for ticks a couple of times a day if they're out and about in the yard.  You're more likely to find ticks in the woods and brush but we've found them on the dogs after the dogs were just out in the yard for a few minutes.  Of course our yard is kind of surrounded by woods so maybe we just have more ticks.
