Who are "you all"?

I think I used the ignore button one time and that was back when all the out of towners invaded the board during the Nevaeh incident.

Considered it again here lately, along with just dropping of the board entirely....not sure when, but the place has become childish in a lot of ways.  Know it alls are another sort of peeve to me as well and that along with the childish bickering has slowed my participation down to a minimum lately anyway.

I still peek in from time to time to catch up on any local topics, but even they become littered with posts that add little substance to the topic.

Too bad......it really was a hoot while it lasted, made a lot of great friends.

I've gone all these years without using it until about 6 months ago...

I figured out how to use it and I've actually been using it more and more often...

life on MT is too short for some of the BS...

I'm a strong believer in 'freedom of speech' but I'm becoming a stronger believer in 'freedom to ignore' some poster's speech!!!

Probably when I get up to where I have half the regulars on ignore I'll just quit posting myself

I'd already put all the 'one dimensional' politics only posters on ignore before I just put the whole political board on ignore so my figures may be slightly skewed from yours

I'm relatively new to this forum, but wish I could have been around several years ago, when, I presume more members participated. Like you say, it seems like there are only about a dozen or so posters that I see regularly. And a couple of them are a waste of bandwidth.

 I enjoy quick, short opinions, bouncing around on the current issues, but I am not as interested in someone just cutting and pasting articles from others. And I don't mind a little instigation of opinions to keep it interesting, but a constant "blinders on", one track mind approach, complete with childish name calling, without any thought to both sides of the issues doesn't interest me. 

These forums should be like sitting around a campfire or a small table.
Talk, argue a little, make your point while listening to the others.

I also wish the MEN would promote MT a little more.
Maybe get some new blood here.

Odd, the topic seems to be about "site issues" yet you've chosen to take on a tangent.

Maybe your intent is to have the topic locked since it's about the incompetency of the forum administration...which somehow reflects badly upon you.

As for your claim of "bigotry" and "dishonesty"...two words you are well acquainted with...in fact I'd say you were actually projecting.

The truth is...you, and many other righties, are proving that my observations are correct...Moron County is chock full of inbreds.

There's probably less than a half dozen bloodlines in the area.

Look...I don't care if you've impregnated your sisters...or if you're into bestiality...I merely commented on the possible reasons of why certain people seem so ignorant on this site...and their attraction to right-wing ideals.

The partisan right has been barking unsubstantiated nonsense for years.
And I've learned long ago that many righties have completely failed at reading comprehension so videos to refute the right-wing propaganda being parroted seemed the way to go.
Unfortunately many times that's met with resistance from the morons that steadfastly refuse to consider that maybe their Fox News obtained POV may be wrong.
