I wonder how much homeowners insurance rates go up because your house could be swallowed by the Earth at any given moment?

Think about it - not only is your house a complete loss, but your lot is useless too.

A total write off.

You're a lot better off it's your house that gets swallowed...  at least you'll collect something from your homeowners (unless maybe now they're excluding sinkhole coverage)!

What you don't want to own is the house next door or the next street over.

When a house close by is swallowed your house essentially became unsalable or only salable at a very, very reduced price.  Not sure if you can get insured for that or not :-\ :-\ :-\

Very true.

I do wonder if swallowed by the Earth requires a special rider, and if you are the neighbor if you can recover anything.

I've heard of plenty of people that haven't been able to recover and never heard of someone that did.  Maybe some insurance companies will be writing into policies but I'd have to think it would be expensive in areas where sinkholes are common.

The repairs to these cars will be performed in Warren MI.

And there's the video from the surveillance camera:

I saw an article a couple of days ago (forgot where though) that they're going to lift the damage Vettes out of 'the hole' and then put then on display in their damaged condition until some time in June before they bring them to Michigan for repairs.  Maybe it'll be such a big draw they'll just leave them.  Personally I'm not sure I want to get anywhere close to their building...  the floor might collapse again :( :( :(

I heard a nasty rumor over the weekend about the sinkhole that swallowed the 'vettes in KY!

KY officials have been looking into the origin of the sinkhole and they've traced it back to an underground river that runs up to Michigan and was suddenly being fuel by the millions of $nyder's potholes...

Maybe after he's kicked the can another year or so the underground river will swallow the whole state of Kentucky :o :o :o

I LOVED every second of that....thanks BRD!

My high school Lit teacher talked just like that hot little brunette......even with her husband and kids upstairs.

She went on to become a city council member too come to think of it.

I worked with one just like the little blond....

A fine sorority sister from Southern Miss - and she hit every southern belle stereotype you could imagine.

Man she was fun to hang out with when you traveled on business trips.  Very down to earth....  Unfortunately she was already married, and I was already married.

I used to love watching her work a guy to get what she wanted out in the plant.  She would literally turn on her drawl and snuggle up to them, and next thing you know they were doing exactly what she wanted.  Its like she hypnotized them or something - they were powerless to resist her charms.

I know she did it to me too on occasion, and I just didn't care, I liked her too much to object.

She quit - too much stress in the job to start a family.  Going by to see her is one of my regular stops when I go down there.

I see they've lifted 2 of the 'victims' out so far...

Saw video last night of them starting one of them.  It sounded good!  I can't find that video though.  Maybe later!
