What do people LOVE at Tim Horton's??
« on: April 11, 2014, 10:26:24 AM »

I never stop in but every single morning the Telegraph location has a line wrapped around the building... EVERY MORNING!!

Just wondering if anyone here knows what all these people are ordering.  It has always been a curiosity of mine.  I would love to be able to ask a worker what the huge draw is.

Coffee and donuts for the most part.  They have some breakfast meals too but I'd guess it's 90% coffee and donuts...

How many city patrol cars do you see when you go by?

I hardly ever go to the local one.  But when traveling i will stop there before anything else for a quick lunch.  Seem to ride better with one of their sandwiches than a big mac.

Occasionally when I'm running errands I stop to get an Iced Capp...the muffins are pretty good as well, but I rarely get them.  I wouldn't be willing to wait in a line wrapped around the building for either though.

My guess for the reason the Telegraph location is so busy is that its the only drive-thru coffee location in the area.  If there were a Starbucks or other chain along the same stretch it might not be as bad.

Try getting into a Tim Horton's during the morning rush in Canada! Lines out into the street!

I do love their coffee very much. I seldom eat there, but I do like their fruit muffins. Kids like the TimBits (birthday morning treats). Also love the occasional Iced Capp. They're addictive, but OMG the calories! If I'm craving, I make one at home with stevia.

Their food is pretty bland, but I agree it's good 'traveling' food.

There's something in the strip in front of Lowes' but it's not a drive thru...

I'm really surprised more places don't do that locally.

So many people with their kids in the car on the way to school that don't want to go through getting them all out and going inside somewhere and then getting them all back into the car!!!

Interesting..

I'm doing a little bit of market research for a possible venture  ;)

It's hard to miss that line around Tim's, so I was just interested in others' opinions.  To me the frozen donuts aren't that great and the coffee is no better than anywhere else.  But whatever the market wants!!

I'd buy up the old LZB building and put in a topless barista drive thru coffee shop...

you probably won't get too many of the people taking their kids to school but I'm guessing you'll still have some long lines...

you might even see me in there from time to time :P :P :P

As long as he was buying coffee and leaving tips I'm sure the only complaints would be from the line of cars behind him 8* 8* 8*

OMG......That is a great idea!

BRD......care to be a partner?......, perhaps we too can bilk $50M out of the State and City to add some "true stimulus" to the local economy!

I have first dibs on the Human Resource roles and responsibilities though.   ;D

To the topic......in all my years up here I have never tried any of these places.
