I would disagree with "most" although I will agree that 'some' fit that description...

unfortunately those few do get the majority of the press so I believe it severely distorts the perception.

Maybe I should reconsider my comment to the bad ones get all the recognition.

Most kids today exhibit no motivation, cannot self entertain themselves and when they do, it is usually criminal in nature.  Sad.

I find this generation lacking in imagination Flip, but I can't agree with the rest of your assessment.

I find them less destructive and criminal than my generation was.  Until the Poke-Mon Go App I couldn't get them out of the house at night.  We were out until all ours of the night finding things to get into - and much of it wasn't legal or ethical, but it did show imagination and creativity.
